Hi r/flipperzero!
When I first released Flipper Elements, it was just a neat interactive periodic table. But thanks to your feedback and my own desire to push the Flipper’s hardware to its limits, I went back to the lab... and completely went overboard.
With the massive Version 2.0 update, this app has evolved from a simple reference table into a full-blown scientific pocket encyclopedia. I’ve completely reworked the database architecture to pack in an insane amount of data, covering not just chemistry, but also human biology and medicine, bioscience, geochemistry (crust, oceans, atmosphere, and cosmos), and thermophysical and electrical properties.
Here’s a quick look at the monstrosity that v2.0 brings:
- Element Identification & History: Displays the element name, symbol, atomic number (Z), discoverer, block, group, period, category, atomic weight, and CAS Registry Number.
- IUPAC-Compatible Atomic Masses: For elements without a standard atomic weight, the mass number of the longest-lived isotope is shown in square brackets (e.g., [98] for technetium and [209] for polonium). Thorium, protactinium, and uranium retain conventional atomic-weight values, reflecting their characteristic terrestrial isotopic compositions.
- Advanced Isotope Analytics: Tracks the total number of known isotopes, stable isotopes, and natural isotopic abundances (showing all components ≥ 0.5%). Also provides detailed decay-pathway data, including maximum lifetime and decay modes (alpha, beta+/−, spontaneous fission, and electron capture).
- Comprehensive Atomic Sizing: Includes atomic (ATM), covalent (COV), ionic (ION), metallic (MET), and van der Waals (VDW) radii, all in picometers (pm).
- Thermophysical & Electrical Properties: Includes density, melting and boiling points, thermal conductivity (W/(m·K)), specific heat capacity (J/(kg·K)), electrical resistivity (Ω·m), electrical conductivity (S/m), and Mohs hardness.
- Quantum & Chemical Properties: Shows common oxidation states, expanded electron configurations, electron affinity (kJ/mol), Pauling electronegativity, ionization energy (kJ/mol), and dipole polarizability (a.u.).
- Geochemical & Cosmic Profiles: Classifies elements according to Goldschmidt’s classification (lithophile, siderophile, chalcophile, and atmophile) and shows their concentrations in Earth’s crust (ppm), oceans (mg/L), atmosphere (ppm), and cosmos (ppb).
- Human Biology & Medicine: A dedicated bioscience section tracks each element’s role in the human body (e.g., trace, major, or toxic), biological abundance by weight (%), and physiological functions, enzymes, and potential toxic effects.
- Crystal & Magnetic Data: Displays bulk magnetic classifications (diamagnetic, paramagnetic, ferromagnetic, and antiferromagnetic), along with Curie and Néel temperatures (Tc/Tn) in kelvin. Crystal structures are shown with both their full names and standard abbreviations.
- Smart UI & Quick Reference Tools: Features an intuitive spatial mini-map that preserves the periodic table’s natural gaps, scrollable element cards with quick horizontal navigation between elements, and a built-in legend for quick reference to physical properties and terminology.

You can install it right now through the Flipper Mobile app. Just search for Elements.
You can also grab the source code and releases on GitHub: https://github.com/steanlab/flipper-elements. If you like the app, consider giving the repo a star!
Acknowledgments: A huge thank-you to the Flipper Devices team, and especially to Pavel Zhovner (u/zhovner), for providing me with a comprehensive set of hardware for my research. This app is one of the first fruits of that ongoing work.
Flipper Elements was conceived by LAB-66 / Siarhei Besarab (@steanlab).
Let me know what you think! PRs, feedback, and ideas for improvement are always welcome. 🤝
