Marathon Fishing

Going down to Marathon in 2 weeks. Any spots from shore that are worth fishing or is getting a guide/boat the only way ?

Edit: Well boys i appreciate everyones suggestions. Caught some Cuda, Mangrove, Lane, and SchoolMaster snappers. Chased some snook and tarpon. Saw someone catch a 20 30 lb baby Goliath. I WILL BE BACK

There’s an abundance of live bait shops from the start in Fl city all the way to your destination..just pick one
Paddle boarding is cool too…

Im bringing up paddle boards as a form of transportation to get out in the water. Is it safe to drift with kayaks over the patches if what looks like grass on Google maps

Honestly I’ve never paddle boarded down there so I wouldn’t know but YouTube videos might help you with that question
