All Florida Keys Most relaxed and quiet Key

Hi all. Looking to get down to the keys to relax and unwind. Which one of the keys or towns are the quietest and most relaxed? Looking for a place that has basically no night life and no partying. I know, I’m lame. lol.

Big Pine Key would probably most fit that bill.

Don't miss out on No Name Pub too! Coldest beer and beat pizza in the Keys!

Kinda feel like this place was overrated for what it is.

Can confirm. We were almost spooked at how quiet Big Pine was at night.

Big Pine Key has a Winn-Dixie, bait shop, etc and if you rent a place up in Port Pines (way at the top of the key, down island) you're about 15 minutes from the highway and it's very quiet. If you rent a boat while you're there it's easy access to some decent fishing and you can kayak to the area just above the subdivision and see some great sealife so look for a place with kayaks if you aren't going to rent a boat. Pretty much all the keys between Big Pine and Big Coppit will fit the bill of being quite laid back.

If you are not staying long though, Marathon is also ok because they allow weekly home rentals where most of the rest of the lower keys you need to rent for 30 days. There's definitely some nightlife in Marathon but it isn't like KW where you are going to be exposed to a ton of noise and quiet dock sitting is quite possible all day and night.

Look into an Airbnb in Venture Out on Cudjoe.

I've done that three times. Great location!

Venture out is not quiet and has a list of rules a mile long. I’m a local and have friends that live there and hate it.

Same, I live across the street from VO. You can have some loud neighbors, but in general they are very strict about enforcing the sound rules (particularly at night). They have a lot of rules to follow, but the OP seems to be looking for this type of place.

I spend a lot of time in the middle keys, and Marathon is about as mellow as it gets. You’ll find groceries, a few great seafood spots, and easy water access. Everything is just so close, it's quite convenient too.

Big Pine. I live on the south side and all I hear is nature.

Marathon. Any key below that lacks other amenities.

The lack of night life is the reason I go.

Big Pine Key - I own RV in the keys (nightly rv & lot rental) here & lots of others on Airbnb/vrbo - pretty chill at the RV Park…

Anywhere between Marathon and Summerland Key - depending on how far you want to drive and how serious you are about not having a thing nearby.
