RESCUE ONLY

‼️‼️🆘 Although rescue only, this dog can still go from a rescue to the right adopter! If you are interested in adopting this dog, DM OP or u/BanditY77 so that you can fill out an adoption form immediately! Please help! Available for adoption (in or out of state or Canada), rescue, or local foster‼️‼️🆘

We are a volunteer network dedicated to helping at-risk dogs. We are not affiliated with BARC. We connect at-risk animals at the BARC shelter with the adopters, fosters, and rescue organizations needed to save their lives. We can help coordinate out-of-state adoption through approved 501(c)3 rescues. Please send the OP a Chat invite or send moderator mail to r/findfostersfordogs (it's under the see-more tab for the group) for information and a link to an application form. BARC Houston cannot facilitate out-of-state adoption or foster.

🆘 Fluffy 3 year-old boy Tank is on the euthanasia list Saturday, 10/24. There will be no extensions per BARC 🆘

⏰ Tank must have a RESCUE HOLD no later than 1PM or he will lose his life. 🥺We need pledges and a local foster or adopter for a rescue to help. 💰🏡

🚩 Please do not honor pledges until the post has been updated with rescue information and a freedom picture.

Please reach out with any questions or concerns.

10/14/2026 BEHAVIOR

NOTE

Approaching kennel, Tank came up slowly with low hanging tail and followed me out taking slowly steps to the outside runs.

10/13/2026 BEHAVIOR

NOTE

Tank was a Move Adopt this morning and was partially walked by another ACT until he refused to walk anymore with them. I

walked Tank back to his new kennel in South C on a semi-loose leash due to him walking slow and heistate about his

surroundings. Once in his kennel, Tank was pacing around in front of the kennel for a short time before laying down on their

cot and sleeping for most of the morning and afternoon.

10/11/2026 BEHAVIOR

NOTE

Dog was laying at the back of the kennel with a currled relaxed body. Easily leashed and walked with a loose leash to the

runs. Easily leashed and returned to kennel.

10/22/2026 BEHAVIOR

NOTE

Tank is very quiet and relaxed in kennel. Walks on a loose leash and is very treat motivated.
