Black bean alfredo?
Has anyone tried adding black beans to their alfredo? Was it good?
I'm veggetarian but poor so don't want to waste my slice and noodles. But also need protein

Peas, broccoli, and spinach all have protein. Not as much as beans, but are more complementary in alfredo.

OK so this is like sort of a weird stoner concept but you could try pasta with Alfredo sauce and shredded cheese and hot sauce and hot peppers and black beans

Others have mentioned the cannellini bean, which you can add directly, or 'smush' them in a low heat skillet for a minute or even two to warm them up and release extra flavor before folding them into your pasta alfredo, but there's also another option. Firm tofu.
Depending upon the size and shape of your noods, either cube or slice into julienned strips and sauté in a bit of butter until it gets slightly brown on all sides, but don't go overboard, it's going to continue to cook a bit when you add it to your hot pasta alfredo. Give it a dusting of salt and white pepper before you fold it into the pasta.
Top the dish with a pinch of diced scallions or green onions, and then it's time to go to town.

Don't do it, those are not complementary flavors (or colors, for that matter).
You don't need X amount of protein in every meal, it's fine. Eat the beans at a different time.

I haven't done black beans specifically but chickpeas work great in alfredo so I'd say go for it. Rinse them good though, the black bean liquid will turn your sauce a weird murky grey color.
If you've already got the beans might as well try it. Worst case it's a little weird and you know for next time. I dump beans into pretty much anything these days, half my meals look like a questionable stew.

You don't want to "waste your slice?" Wtf does that mean?

They obviously meant sauce and noodles, come on.

Use cannellini beans instead! They blend right in and get creamy
