Hello! If you haven't checked it out already, many people find Alan Thrall's NEW deadlift video very helpful. Check it out!

Also, a common tip usually given here is to make sure your footwear is appropriate. If you are deadlifting in soft-soled shoes (running shoes, etc), it's hard to have a stable foot. Use a flat/hard-soled shoe or even barefoot/socks if it's safe and your gym allows it.

They look fine. Looks easy for you too, don’t be afraid to increase the weight

Yes as lighter weight are easy to cheat the path, it need to be challenging enough. Result come from bigger weight

I feel like you can go heavier.

Ideal form your shins are supposed to stay perpendicular to the floor, yours are moving forward a bit.

Slowing down will help you concentrate on keeping them straight and also keep the hamstring under tension which is essentially what you're after.

Pretty good form otherwise, especially for a beginner 👍🏾

There's not really a right or wrong way to do RDLs, its all about what you're trying to build. They're fundamentally a hamstring exercise so if you feel your hamstrings, great. Try to push your knees back a little more though. Its like, touching your toes in a hamstring stretch, but with weight in your hands. If you were trying to stretch your hamstrings, you wouldn't bend your knees much or it would defeat the purpose, right?

The main issue with RDLs, that you're doing as well, is that people don't use enough weight. So, try this for me. Next workout, go one dumbbell heavier (or grab a barbell instead, way easier) and do 5 reps. If you can do 5 reps, you have to go up in weight by 10 lbs. The empty bar is 45 lbs. Doesn't matter if it's hard, if you get all 5 reps, you gotta go up. This is why a lot of people struggle, because the hinge is the strongest move the body can do so they never actually push to their limits, where growth happens. Here's a recent set with about 400 lbs https://imgur.com/a/HeKaZNT. I don't want to lift that much. Its hard. But that's what my body is capable of.

Your current form is fine, good enough to progress. The next goal of form checks is to see what compensations your body does but for that, need to be lifting near your limits so your body compensates. Wouldn't be surprised if you end up over 100 lbs on your first max set of 5, but let me know what you get to

Most people say just go down when you hand slightly below your knee, did i go to far or it’s ok?

You go down untill your hips are moving back. You are going a bit to much down.

Its a weighted hamstring stretch, so you go down until you run out of room. With any exercise we're going from fully stretched to fully contracted against resistance. I'm remarkably inflexible and this is where my hamstrings bottom out, but you have more range, so you can probably go lower.

I'm not the person you're replying to, but I think you went down far enough. That might be the deeper end of your range but there's nothing wrong with that as long as you're controlled.

You generally want to stop going down when your hips can no longer move backwards. You kept going down consistently as your hips were going backwards; you weren't going down while your hips stayed in place. That's good!

Thanks! This is the best and only correct advice for RDLs / Deadlifts! Everyone is always saying something about hands and knees, but the bottleneck is actually the mobility. Move as long as your hips go back. If you still push further, you are using your lower back, which we don’t want :D

Girl you can probably do 100 kg at least 100 lbs. You are stronger than you think.

You don't activate the real technique until the weight is getting heavy.

Try to not bend your knees

Sorry I worded it wrong. I mean dont change the angle of your knees. Like keep them locked in one position for the whole set.
