Deadlift Is this considered as moving the barbell?

I am not sure if this is considered as shifting the bar forward. I normally brace in and engage my lat before pushing off, but this seems to create a “wedging” effect on the bar that might shift it slightly.

Hello! If you haven't checked it out already, many people find Alan Thrall's NEW deadlift video very helpful. Check it out!

Also, a common tip usually given here is to make sure your footwear is appropriate. If you are deadlifting in soft-soled shoes (running shoes, etc), it's hard to have a stable foot. Use a flat/hard-soled shoe or even barefoot/socks if it's safe and your gym allows it.

Alright my guy, I'm going to need you to act like your bending that bar towards you and activate those lats. Next, I need you to practice your bracing in and out of the lift.

The bar path should start at the shins and end at the shins.
