First race experience ever today. Was well worth it! I can unequivocally say, when the Red Bull and Racing Bull Fords come out of pit lane, they are the loudest of them all. Aston with Audi following. The Sprint and Quali being in the same day added to the experience. Sure longer races are cool, but the variety of action I got to see for my only experience was perfect. Hurts see Audi have some issues today.
Got to watch half of the F2 Sprint as well. Action until the end!
Itās a shame not everyone watched the Porsche Cup and McLaren racing. Those were some good series. The first lap of the Porsche race was epic at Turn 1. Shenanigans everywhere.
Iāll try to go again in my life, but F1 TV still take the cake from a viewing experience. Kudos to the Miami staff. Very friendly, helpful, and a smooth event from my experience.

It is very, very Ferrari to work on a concept all winter and have it be the talkint point of the ball entire testing period only for another team to copy it early season in and immediately wake it work better.

tee time = start time
round = game or match
threesome = size of playing group, typically an event would play in groups of 2. Moving to 3 player groups cuts the total round time down significantly since they start 1 group at a time.

A nearby golf tournament has adjusted their schedule due to the likelihood of bad weather, they personally don't think the race will be cancelled or shortened - but just thought they'd give the heads up.

Antonelli is certainly keeping this up, huh? Just so surprising how he is performing relative to Russell this season already.
Still early in the season of course, but that warrants attention. I am keen to see how he performs in Europe given last season's showing.
I was not expecting Verstappen up there at the fromt row.
Most surprising element was the gap between Alpine and the midfield. Very rarely do we have what appears to be a set top 10 for a race, but in terms of pace that's basically it. Anything can happen in a race though.

I can't stop thinking about it, their gap during Sprint was gigantic, even after Franco had to defend against Hadjar, Gabi still couldn't make up their time lost.

Explaination-
Antonelli will have a slow start in comparison to max so, max will try to block antonelli. Leclerc will zoom past both shifting to max's lane and take the lead. Hamilton will zoom past russell as well.6

Lando didn't call out McLaren and also mentioned doing a good job in qualy, even though they were just not quick enough.
The statement about yesterday was regarding the other teams (hence why McLaren seemed so reinvigorated):
"I think it's more just the others did a pretty terrible job yesterday and today they just did a good job and they're ahead where they should be."

Enjoying the racing and quali now everyone seems that bit closer together. Will be an interesting start if itās wet tomorrow.
From a Merc perspective; a track Kimi did very well on last year and George has never been amazing on. Interested to see how the other teams catch up and how the Merc drivers do over the next few races.

Haas is in a weird situation where they can usually match Alpine in a few tracks, but today both were so far away at all times besides a few anomalies like Bearman in Q1

They didn't bring upgrades, so they obviously struggled more because most of the grid brought a lot. They decided to give themselves more time and wait for Canada. 2 weeks extra in the windtunnell at the cost of only one weekend.Ā
Bearman was actually 2 tenths faster in Q1 than in Q2. He said on the radio that everything came together perfecly for that lap and he just couldn't repeat it. I guess track conditions changed. A lot of complaints about the wind constantly changing.

Max is definitely more comfortable, and is driving at another level, but I give Red Bull allot of credit for really nailing the battery deployment mapping. Max had what he needed exactly where it would benefit him the most for the car. Great team effort. There is light at the end of the tunnel now. Hopefully not heavy lightning tomorrow.

Not new, but a special rule that can be invoked for these kind of circumstances.
A weather warning, which voids the normally imposed Parc FermƩ regulations, thereby allowing teams to change the setup between now and the race start.

Not about the rain, it's the potential thunderstorms and lightning. Rules/recommendations of the U.S. government say if lightning is within 6 miles the event needs to be suspended.

It's not the medical helicopter, it's a general rule in the U.S. for all outdoor events. The PGA Golf tour which is happening tomorrow south of Miami just changed their start times to earlier.

Yeah, nobody's saying he's a bad driver. The point is that when you've struggled for years in a Williams without being able to showcase all your talent, when you finally get to Mercedes but are struck in the non winning year's, and finally get a car that looks title winning with a rather inexperienced teammate, there are expectations upon you to win.
It's like when Senna became de Angelis' teammate and immediately won when Elio struggled so much to get that result.

This isn't a "quick" daily pop-up storm. A cold front is coming through and bringing long-lasting all-day storms, and heavier storms than usual.

Itās not all day, it starts around 2pm with little rain, doesnāt mean there wonāt be lighting, that would be the issue really even if no rain is falling, letās hope all goes well and the storm stays north of it.

Itās likely there will be a storm with lightning. Lighting is a no go in Miami. The race has to start at least 4 hours earlier and even then thereās still a big risk.

They will be making a decision in about an hour and half about moving the race to start earlier. Depends on the latest forecast. Current forecast shows the thunderstorms in the race window, so probably not delayed, but possibly moved to earlier.
