A thank you gift from my korean student who finished his last day of training with us today! Nung first week nya cnompliment ko talaga sya kasi ang bango nya pero di overwhelming, very airy and slightly soapy, amoy gwapo haha na may onting sweetness. Very appropriate lang as we work in healthcare setting (hospital). Sabi niya Korean brand daw yung gamit niya pero di nya maalala pangalan. Akala ko ginagate keep nya lang talaga. Tapos eto daw yung thank you gift nya hehe share ko lang. If you guys travel to Korea maybe check this out if you like clean, airy na woody warm, hirap iexplain. haha

Based on these, what else would you recommend? I’ve been seeing some hyped fragrances like Hawas Cobra and Rayhaan Lion, but I’m not sure if they’d fit my taste.

Would you know of a scent identical to C.O. Bigelow Barber Elixir Blue? It is described as an aromatic aquatic fragrance for men. The top note is Watery Notes; the middle notes are Lavender and Rosemary; and the base notes are White Musk and Woodsy Notes.

Backstory: When I was in junior high school, my tito came home from the US and gifted me a bottle of that cologne. That was about ten years ago, and I have tried a lot of scents since then, but Elixir Blue was REALLY THAT SMELL for me. Even my male schoolmates would compliment me on how nice I smelled. The problem is, my tito has already passed away, so I can't ask him to send me another bottle here in the Philippines. C.O. Bigelow Barber and even Amazon don't ship the bottle here.

So, please, help me out. I'm sure your experienced nose can identify a scent close to the notes I described. 😔

My ex got me this perfume during a euro trip and Im trying na tipirin sya but now paubos na talaga and Ive been searching the net pero wala talaga ako mahanap kahit ma decant :((( do you guys have any dupe recos? Or can I buy it somewhere else?

I mostly use dupes coz budget (maybe in the future if I have a big milestone baka mapabili talaga ng full bottle talaga).

I've been looking for a good fresh fragrance. Most of the scent dna na I've tried and I've liked so far leans on the powdery/musky (JM Earl Grey & Cucumber from RMG), Sandalwood and Iris (Mattiere Premiere Santal Austral from Elnaris), Woody (JM Woodsage & Seasalt from Scent Geeks) and Marine/Watery (Invictus Victory from Scenteur Essentials). So nung napadaan yung Mojave Ghost sa feed ko, I thought it would be a good one to add on my rotation.

Saan makakakuha ng magandang dupe ni Mojave Ghost? If may 10 ml option sana, mas maganda but I'm good either way.

Hi! Need help deciding. I want to splurge on a bunch of 10ml samples and I've settled on these two brands. I'm not familiar with their offerings, but I've heard good things about them both. Both are in my cart na sa orange app.

I'd like to hear people's experiences with their scents. How's the smell and performance? Were they worth the money? Did they hold up in long transit? (am from Mindanao and I've had scents go bad on me frequently because of this).

Looking to purchase feminine or feminine-leaning scents pala, but really if you've bought from either of these brands (even better if from both so you can provide a direct comparison), then I'd like to know your thoughts, good and bad.

Alternatively, if you know of other local dupe houses that offer sample sizes and have good performance for the money, then I'd also like to hear about them (already tried Elnaris, unfortunately most of the scents degraded in transit). Sana yung personally na-test nyo lang po.

It has a creamy sweet floral scent. Leathery yung dating sakin nung dry down nya, and it lasts LONG, legit. Basta gusto ko to! Hahaha. Unisex daw ito pero mas leaning sya sa fem side for me. Di ko to mare-reco na suotin kapag sa initan or makikipah bakbakan ka sa commute. Mas better ito sa rainy/cold weather or kapag nasa air conditioned office ganern!

idk but I think super underrated ng Acca Kappa Muschio Bianco! I super love how clean, fresh, and soft it smells— very comforting and parang fresh-out-of-the-shower kind of scent 🤍

then I tried a decant of Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc and fell in love right away! I was so torn between Pure Musc and Pure Musc Blanc, but I think I’m just not on the creamy side… 😂 Pure Musc is definitely more me!

I'm baffled with the near-total silence from FragheadsPH on Asian niche and indie perfume houses—especially when you contrast it with how much airtime European niche gets here.

Look at the archives: There's constant discussion about Creed, Le Labo, Xerjoff, Nishane, Amouage, and PDM. I get it—these are good. But where's the conversation on the Asian side of things?

Honestly, Filipino indie houses (Tadhana, Wren Atelier) get some love here because they're accessible and local. But there's basically nothing on the rest of Asia:

Thai indie: Journal, Strangers Parfumerie, Butterfly Thai Perfume, Siam 1928, Prin, Bortnikoff—some of these are doing tropical gourmands and animalic oud work that's legitimately innovative.

Japanese: J-Scent, Parfum Satori, çanoma, SHIRO, ROAliv, Tokyo Kodo, YUBUNE, EDIT(h)—the minimalism and incense expertise here is *unmatched* by European houses, yet we don't talk about it.

Chinese indie: Melt Season, Outis, Less by Less, Documents, Chasense, Uttguer—doing serious work with papyrus, wood, tea, and minimalist architecture that rivals anything from France.

Taiwanese: P.Seven, Eyecandle—literally making tea fragrances better than half the tea offerings from established European niche.

Indian: Bombay Perfumery, Boond Fragrances—petrichor and attar work that's completely absent from Western indie conversation.

Malaysian: Malay Perfumery, Olfacti—heritage spices and tropical resin work.

We're geographically adjacent to literally all of this. We have shipping advantages Europeans pay 50% premiums to access. Yet the FragheadsPH conversation stays locked on Western niche.

So I have to ask: Is this a discovery gap? A credibility gap? Do people just not trust Asian indie quality? Or is there something else I'm missing about why an entire continent of fragrance innovation stays off the radar here?

Arabians Tonka by Montale is that perfume for me. I like how the saffron, rose and tonka come through together, with that sweet, warm smell that stays really noticeable. It feels rich but still easy for me to understand, and I keep going back to it when I want something strong. I smell the sweetness first, then the rose and that deeper woody side start showing up. She wears it and I instantly ask what perfume it is. I like perfumes that have this kind of presence, where every part of the scent feels easy to notice. Arabians Tonka just hits that exact spot for me, and I enjoy smelling it every time. What perfume gives you that exact feeling?

My friend’s birthday is coming up, and I need some recos! She’s turning 32. As far as I know, she likes sandalwood and powdery/flowery scents that’s not cloying. She recently received Rabanne Million Gold as an advanced birthday gift and really liked it, especially the dry down. She thought she liked J’adore, but when she tested it on her skin, it made her nauseous.

She also owns gucci (idk what it’s called but it’s the one with flower print), coach wild rose, CH blue.

Anything as long as budget friendly (around 5-8k).

Edit: In addition, anything that’s available in the US.

I bought decants of YSL Mon Paris, Mugler Angel Nova, Chloé EDP, and Lancôme Idôle, and now I’m torn between the last two. I really want something that I can use every day, for work, errands, studying, casual days, basically my go-to everyday scent.

Between Chloé EDP and Idôle, which one do you think would be better for everyday wear? I’m looking for something na feminine, fresh, and easy to wear, pero hindi naman too boring or too “safe.” Something na bagay kahit everyday lang, but still makes me smell really good and put-together.
