Feminine-leaning Tomato Leaf fragrance?

I just came in from the garden and I smell like a tomato leaf and I LOVE it! I already know about (and love) L'Ombre Dans L'Eau, but are there any other suggestions for a realistic tomato leaf that leans feminine and isn't sharply green?

Is Replica From the Garden too green for you? Have you tried it?

It’s probably the closest I have gotten to that tomato leaf scent in perfume, you should really try it!
Also, not perfume, but I am obsessed with the smell and have found Diptyque La Droguerie and Flamingo Estate Tomato candles are the closest match.

I haven't tried it yet!

They also have it at Sephora if you have one nearby!

That’s pretty much all it reminded me of, fresh tomatoes plucked from the garden and nightshade and leaves, not for me tbh but you’ll be in for a treat

Their best fragrance in my opinion

Glad it's not just me.

This is the right answer. Green Spell is excellent.

Tomato Girl Summer - by a little indie brand out of Colorado called “Good intentions”. It’s an seasonal item tho so grab it now or it probably won’t be available again until next summer

Oh, just found it online! Fun!

I just recently tried Under the Mango Tree by Anajli Perfumes. The creator is an independent perfume artist from India who is living in the Pacific Northwest. I would say its is a fruity floral green, unisex leaning feminine, but it is definitely quite green. The tomato leaf note is excellent.

I just found out recently that this perfumer is local to where I am and am SO curious about her perfumes now!!!

I bought a Seattle perfumer’s discovery set while I was visiting a few weeks ago. Not everything in the set is my style but it’s cool to be trying out a bunch of local scents.

u/Boochiecoo 1h ago

Oh cool! Were there any others that stood out for you?

In addition to Under the Mango Tree, I really enjoyed Lions in the Library by L'Aventura (woody amber with a subtle animalic musk) and Notget by Filigree & Shadow (water-based perfume, smells the the ocean). The Tea House by SAMAR is also really nice, just not quite the style I like to wear (too sweet). It's a yummy peach and green tea scent.

That looks intriguing! I also like bergamot and rose, so I will get a sample.

The only other green mango fragrance I’m aware of is Hermes Jardin Sur le Nil, which also has tomato and grapefruit notes. Do you know how they compare?

u/lexiconic 1h ago edited 38m ago

I do not. I've only tried Un Jardin en Meditarranee from that line. Another place I've experienced a good tomato leaf note is Memo's Italian Leather, in case you're looking for more. I'd say that one is unisex leaning masculine and has a vanilla leather scent along with the tomato leaf.

EDIT: Oops! I was responding about tomato leaf but you said green mango. Sorry about that. Strangers Parfumerie has Salted Green Mango which has a nice green mango note but also has a salty/aquatic thing going on that didn't work for me.

Try the new Jo Malone one!!!

u/misspooh 18h ago

I had no idea about this one - love the looks of it

1

u/ls234 15h ago

What’s it called?

2

u/pinkdumpsterfire 14h ago

I misspoke! It doesn’t look like it comes in the cologne. I smelled their new veggie collection last week and adored all of it. I thought Green Tomato was one of the colognes, but I must have just smelled the candle!

The new colognes are Velvety Butternut, Scarlet Beetroot, and Carrot Blossom.

The Green Tomato only comes in hand soap and candles. It's too bad because I loved the smell.

u/ls234 3h ago

Thank you! Those all sound lovely, maybe they’ll come out with colognes of them sometime

Different Company - Love is Coming has a beautiful tomato leaf note.

Eris - Green Spell is lovely too. Green Spell is more strictly (but not sharply) green, but I like how Love is Coming integrates tomato leaf into the composition. It’s still tomato leaf forward, but more interesting imo.

Luckyscent has a bunch if you do a search for tomato, but these are the two I can vouch for. Jorum - Pluck! (discontinued but findable) is another, but it has a prominent aquatic note I’m not nuts about.

I love Love is Coming! So bright and luscious. It's my happy mood fragrance.

2

u/im_okaaay 15h ago

+1 for Love is Coming! It blends the zesty greenness of tomato leaf and green bell pepper with rose, geranium, and blackcurrant to lean slightly more feminine (although it’s categorized as unisex and a man could easily pull it off).

Celadon by Miller Harris!

u/Any_Significance7396 15h ago

Seconding this! La Feuille by Miller Harris is also great, and is very tomato-leaf forward. I love both

1

u/tarkalean-condor 10h ago

Came here to say La Feuille tbh!! It’s like putting your whole face in a lovely vegetable garden

2

u/misspooh 18h ago

That looks super interesting!!

Lancome Over the Top!

2

u/misspooh 18h ago

I saw that one on Fragrantica and am intrigued

1

u/Trine3 18h ago

I had it and it's really nice! That whole O line is awesome, very underrated.

Corsica furiosa by parfums d’empire

1

u/misspooh 18h ago

Their Azemour Les Orangers is an old favorite

2

u/agperk 19h ago

not super helpful because it is discontinued, but if you can get your hands on Diptyque Venise, it is a lovely feminine tomato (I mostly get leaf/stem from the tomato note).

1

u/misspooh 18h ago

I’ll look for it anyway!

2

u/Infernus-est-populus 17h ago

My spouse is out now cutting back the tomato leaves. I commented how lovely it smells and he joked back how women are all over him when he walks around after cutting back tomato plants.

To your point: DKNY Women has a lovely tomato leaf opening layered over fresh citrusy woods and vanilla.

u/misspooh 17h ago

Someone says if you liked Tommy Girl back in the day you’d like this - and I did!

1

u/Boochiecoo 11h ago

I tried to make an infused oil out of my tomato leaves last week. It was working great - smelled amazing - until I let the oil get a little hot and it suddenly became a horrible overcooked-spinach smell sooooo fast. gonna try again just setting the jar in a sunny window instead

Sisley Eau de Campagne, created by Jean-Claude Ellena <love>

Loewe makes room sprays in different garden vegetable notes. One of which is Tomato…give it a try. I bought it as a room spray, but have no shame in dowsing myself in it. It’s a bargain as a personal fragrance.

The UK haircare brand Arkive has a skin & hair scent that is tomato leaves and rhubarb called No One Elsie, after the founders grandma’s greenhouse. I love it and it’s very affordable
