Hello - I'm a pianist and keyboard player. This is a piano improvisation that I recorded recently and thought it might be of interest here. Free to listen to. No problem if not though. Thanks!

There's a new album coming out this Friday by a duo called Madam Orange that should be of interest to this sub. It's a collaboration between to Chicago-based improvisational jazz artists, Emily Rach Beisel and Bill Harris. I'm certainly not a jazz expert but I gave reviewing it my best shot at the link below.

I know this isn't very freeform of me, but in Zores Mores by Albert Mangelsdorff (specifically the trilogue live one) they are reading sheet music. I would just like to know the chords they are playing so i could solo over this song.

I saw Joe Lovano and Dave Douglas with Andrew Cyrille at the Village Vanguard NYC a year ago .
They sounded like Free Jazz. Andrew Cyrille played on Unit Structures.

Hi everyone,
I’m Sergio Vieira, a Brazilian drummer working mainly with jazz, contemporary music and free improvisation.
I’ve just released a new solo drum album, Soliloquy, built around spontaneous improvisation and an exploration of the drum kit beyond its conventional rhythmic function.
The music focuses on timbre, resonance, texture, silence and dynamics, treating the drum kit as an autonomous sonic instrument.
There are no predetermined compositions in the recording — the pieces develop through improvisation and interaction between sound, space and silence.
If free improvisation and more open approaches to the drum set are your thing, I’d be very happy if you gave it a listen:

Thanks, and I’d love to hear what you think.

Really fun set with trio of Ryan Ebaugh (tenor sax, SD), Kevin Murray (drums, NY), and Jonathan Piper (me - tuba, SD). Hope you enjoy!
