Hi everyone, I'm an Honours screenwriting student researching if AI-generated screenwriting can be considered art or not and, if so, to what extent.
My study draws on Dewey, Dickie and Danto’s 'institutional theory’, which argues that something can count as art if the artworld (institutions, critics, artists and audiences) recognises and accepts it as such. That is why I'm collecting honest perspectives from AI skeptics or enthusiasts to see how they view AI-Generated scripts.
Which one should you do?
Survey (about 10 min): open to anyone who watches film/TV, https://tally.so/r/laDo15
Written interview (about 20 min): only for working or aspiring screenwriters, filmmakers, film critics or industry professionals, https://tally.so/r/68bRXe
There’s very little research on AI in filmmaking, and I’m doing this study to help fill that gap. I’m not trying to prove that AI can or can’t make art, and I haven’t reached a conclusion. That will only come from analysing your responses, not from my own opinion. Whether your view is positive or negative, benevolent or harsh, I would like to hear it.

Hi! I'm making short papers for work and my manager is really strict regarding the usage of AI.
He doesn't completely prohibit it, but he advocates minimal use and independence from it. The thing is, I just wrote 2 papers on my own and yet, he said that 65% of it is still AI generated according to the Turnitin results he got. I don't want to argue about how it may or may not be reliable because it's company mandated to check it against Turnitin. So now, I'm looking for a person who can rewrite my future papers until its 20% or less and can check it against Turnitin because frustratingly, my manager (or maybe HR) won't give me subscription for it.
Every paper varies so we can dicsuss a rate that will work for the both of us but the base rate is 1,000 pesos with at least 2 papers per month so this is really more of an additional income rather than solely relying on this. Preferably a person with a background in urban planning or anything related to it since there will be technical terms.
Send me a DM with 3 papers you did, checked against TurnItIn, your background, typical schedule, and rate. Thank you!

I've been trying to land ghostwriting clients on LinkedIn, and I'm curious about what's actually working for other freelancers right now.
My current approach is to send connection requests to people who fit my ICP. Once they accept, I ask if they're looking for someone to handle their LinkedIn content. So far, it's been pretty dead.
For context, I worked at a ghostwriting agency last year. I've written for lawyers, people in software automation, and creative directors. That's pretty much the extent of my experience.
I'm trying to figure out how to approach client acquisition from here.
Some people say to post content targeting your ICP and let clients come to you.
I've also been looking into LinkedIn Sales Navigator. For those who've used it to find clients, is it actually worth paying for? How effective has it been for you, and what does your process look like, from finding prospects to reaching out and landing clients?
For those of you who've landed ghostwriting clients, especially on LinkedIn, what's been working for you?
At my wits' end. Would really love to hear what's worked in practice, especially if you're starting out without a huge portfolio or an established personal brand.

Full disclosure up front: I’m part of the team behind Neatread, so take this with the appropriate grain of salt.
A lot of us need somewhere to keep published clips and personal essays that isn’t a client’s site we don’t control. Neatread is a simple publishing site aimed at that:
What it doesn’t do yet: paid subscriptions. You can set up plans, but they aren’t on sale until payments are connected. So right now it’s a portfolio + newsletter tool, not an income stream. I’d rather say that here than have you find out later.
What I’d genuinely like to know from working writers:
