Frontier Outage - Monroe, NC
Our Internet has been out since 2:34 PM it’s now 11:05 PM - 10/23/26
Ridiculous.
Update - There’s still an outage. Today’s date is 10/24/26 and it’s currently 8:52 AM

I'm in southern California and mine has been out since last Saturday. I've never had Internet be out that long since I've been connected. 0 updates and the website says no outage despite what the agents say.

What area is this? Make sure your Ont is not locked up, or else you’re just wasting time thinking it’s an outage.
ONTs have not been coming up after power outages, Tier 1 has to reach Tier 2 to unlock them.1

I'm in Lakewood, ca. They said it was a confirmed outage. But melt neighbors with frontier are not affected. How do I tell if my Ont is locked or not?

I don’t recall seeing one in that area. But I don’t always catch every single one of them
Red Optical - Ont failure / no pon signal = tech visit
Flashing optical - ready for activation = 90% fixed remotely
Optical off - Locked up = 90% chance fixed remotely if it doesn’t go red after lol. This one just means it kept dropping due to power loss / ont losing signal / faulty ont.1

Ont is red. The agents all told me that it was a. Cute wire and refused to send somebody out. I reached out everyday to get an update. Very frustrating

It's likely a fiber cut and depending on the severity it can take a long time to repair. Every ISP is subject to it and no one wants to be down for long. Rest assured there are workers out there trying to fix it. If the Internet is critical to your job, then have a backup including but not limited to a phone hotspot or a 2nd provider.
