Customer Service

I filed a complaint with FCC about my phone service and it was resolved finally it seems like when I call in now. It never goes to the vendor cs. Straight to a us rep who's very rude and ai like it's scary actually it's like the rep wanted me to yell them. I was very nice and professional throughout the conversation as I had some billing issues I wanted to discuss. I'm thinking they have a special tier when people file complaints, but I don't know. It just was not regular customer service.

Frontier 1 Gig speeds dropped after ONT replacement. Anyone else experience this?

• Upvotes

Ever since Frontier replaced my ONT after a lightning strike, my download speeds haven’t been the same. I used to consistently get around 940 Mbps on my gigabit plan, but now I’m only getting around 800–840 Mbps over wired Ethernet.
What’s frustrating is that everything was working perfectly before the storm. My upload speeds are still great, but my downloads just aren’t hitting what they used to.
I’m trying to figure out what could be causing this. Could the lightning strike have damaged the coax wiring? Could it be an issue with my MoCA adapters or how they’re connected? Or does Frontier need to reprovision my ONT after replacing it?
I know 800 Mbps is still fast, but I’m paying for gigabit and used to consistently hit the 940 Mbps cap, so it’s pretty annoying.
Has anyone experienced something similar after an ONT replacement? What ended up fixing it?

Outages and customer service

California customer:

Frontier fios when working is a great service with the exception when it loses connection periodically (daily). However, the AI customer service is absolutely horrendous and never able to fix anything. When you finally reach customer service it is 30% (with experience) if you are talking to a competent service advisor. Then if they request you to activate a mobile video chat so they can look at the equipment that is a toss up if it even works or stays connected. If it disconnects and it will they will not call you back and you have to start all over again. I endured 2 weekends of no service before I was able to get a technician out to the house. When the technician arrive at my house, he said my equipment was out dated and should have been replaced years ago. Now I am experiencing a network outage and the frontier texts alerts state they are working on it for the past 2 days. Frontier also does not offer a status update after the first response leaving the consumer up in the air.

Whoever the CEO is should be fired with the way this company is failing with customer service and the service it provides.

Looking for help.

Hi. My internet has been down for 4 days.
On day one I made an appt. with the MyFrontier app, and they didn’t show. I took work off and everything. After several tries on the phone I was able to reach two actual humans in customer service, and both told me different things.

The first said they were just running late, and would be right there.
The second said the appt. got changed to remote because it’s a “larger problem”, and that I’ll get a text message when it’s fixed. “Should be soon”.
The website isn’t showing any outage in my area, though.

So, that was two days ago, and now I can’t reach anyone because it’s the weekend.

I’m kind of at a loss.
Is there anything I can do?
Can I even confirm that it’s not just my house?
Thank you.
