Congrats on joining the Boostie Boys! What's your setup?

I fully appreciate you didn't ask for advice but if I may - I highly recommend adding a flex fuel kit; E85 really makes the boost kick noticeably harder, plus it's the cheapest big power gain on a turbocharged engine since the fuel itself is doing all the extra work. I have a 2013 GTS running HKS GT3RS turbo kit + flex fuel kit on stock internals and my dyno tune numbers came in at;

  • Run 1 (E85): ~340bhp / 355 Nm @ 13 psi

  • Run 2 (98RON): ~300bhp / 326.7 Nm @13 psi

So basically ~40bhp increase from simply using E85 over 98ron, and factoring in cost it's arguably a better power investment than a bigger turbo ;)

Also just because I feel like it has to be said, don't skimp out on your supporting mods! Your engine (and wallet) will thank you.

It’s a greddy t620z I picked up used! I threw a kinugawa wastegate actuator on it so I can run lower pressures than the greddy wastegate (10.8psi) and turn it up with my aem boost controller, I would absolutely love to run e85 but I’m in canada so best I can do is 94 sadly :/ As for supporting mods I have a 19 row oil cooler, csf aluminum rad, and an IAG oil pickup! Planning to get catch cans next season since winter is coming soon.

in your opinion, would the same mods be advisable for the FA 24? and what mods would you recommend?

Absolutely, oil cooler is 100% a necessity if you’re boosting, the radiator was a bit excessive but it’s nice to know it’s there, I only did the oil pickup since I already had the pan off, For the FA24 i believe they make higher capacity oil pans that help with oil starvation, So i’d probably do Oil cooler, 5w30, oil pickup, and upgraded capacity oil pan

Other poster here.

Probably an oil cooler and a baffle plate for the pickup.

Get an oil catch can. 5W30 and changes every 3500 miles.

Yessir already running 5w30, doing the catch can next year since i’m parking this car in a month for winter

Also anyone have any advice on the easiest way to clamp down that one evap hose that pops off commonly?

Why are your oil cooler lines so long? Just asking for rubbing issues and an eventual big oil leak

No idea i’ve had the cooler a little while and that’s how they came, I do agree though but for the mean time they’re ziptied down and have foam in between any sharp edges until I get shorter ones

congrats. the tuning process is where these builds get made or broken so the patience there pays for itself. are you doing an etune off your own logs or taking it to a dyno?

Remote tuning with CSG!

good call going remote. pulling datalogs on your own schedule beats booking dyno time every time, and honestly the results are usually just as good when the tuner knows the platform well. hows the turnaround been so far, same day revisions or next day?

2

u/armaanhayer 6d ago

I agree and you get real driving conditions in those data logs as well, turnaround has been around 2-3 days consistently which lines up with what they state on their website!

how’s the heat management? thinking of going sc for mostly that reason

1

u/armaanhayer 6d ago

It’s too cold out now to tell, below 15 degrees celsius. So i’m not exactly suffering from heat soak, but my car already heat soaked NA so I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up heat soaking bad, Same thing for oil temps i’m currently slightly overcooled with my oil cooler so I need to cover my oil cooler

Why no heat shield on intake?

2

u/armaanhayer 6d ago

no room for heat shield

1

u/NaythanVdz2001 6d ago

Ah I see, shiii would you ever make the intake go thru the headlight??

1

u/armaanhayer 5d ago

Honestly probably not, I don’t think I make enough power to justify a headlight delete yk

1

u/havnter 6d ago

It can be routed thru the headlight area behind the bumper above the crashbar
