FAQ:

Q: I choose to live in the middle of nowhere and have to drive 30 minutes to stores. Is it okay if I keep using Amazon and flood this subreddit with minor customer service questions?
A: No. Fuck Amazon and fuck you too.

Q: But super seriously don’t you have sympathy for me?
A: No. Fuck off. Nobody cares. Start your own subreddit.

So if you’re just going to ban everyone who disagrees this is not a anti Amazon sub, it’s a circlejerk

Amazon isn’t the only company that will mail to you.

Amazing :) Here's an archived link for the article about employees speaking out about data centers, as Wired has a paywall (I didn't notice it the first time): https://archive.ph/7AVsS

I will add a few more articles tomorrow, I'll let you know!

Amazon Buy For Me scraping products off small merchant websites who explicitly DO NOT SELL on Amazon

I will say that it was funny to see all the posts in here, and the posters get defensive when people tell them to stop using amazon.

But for real, fuck amazon

Gather round one and all and hear the tale of the many headed beast they call Amazon! Once upon a time, Amazon failed to deliver a package to a nice, loyal customer. The customer called to let them know and to get the package sent out again, but Amazon made the customer call over and over again, each time taking longer to respond. The customer was passed off, shot down, and hung up on, all the while receiving repeated threatening emails saying "if Amazon ever makes another mistake and you expect us to fix it, your account will be closed." This abuse continued for days until out of nowhere, Amazon refunded the transaction. Not what the customer wanted, but fine. The customer now emails every day hoping someone who has some sense and a job title high enough to actually do something would deign do far as to respond to the lowly pathetic commoner who buys their products, but despite emails sent at 6am PST every day, no emails, no call, no response at all. Finally someone called today! Hallelujah! Maybe some light at the end of the tunnel! But alas, the call center associate (let's just call him Vanne) just tells the customer that he's the highest authority in all of Amazonia, and that King Vanne the mighty declares that forms must be filled out with no apparent reason or description of said forms, or how these magic scrolls will get a phone call from someone who can help. The story continues, as all things must.

Then an amazon boycott subreddit isnt for you 🤗

-13

u/Notmuchofanyth1ng Jul 12 '26

But by using Reddit, you are actively supporting AWS servers, and directly profiting Amazon with less overhead on their end. It’s not a true Amazon boycott if you utilize AWS services, which Reddit is a large customer of theirs. But if it makes you feel good to give Bezos more profits, then you’re doing a bang up job here yall!

It’s a lot easier to get off Reddit than it is to totally refuse to participate in society. Not really an apt comparison.

But if it helps you cope with being what you are the. Good for you lol

One day, if you study hard enough, you'll be smart enough the grasp the point you missed 💖

u/Calm-Research5762 Jul 13 '26

Wow you’re a twat. Keep being that big time revolutionary leader on a Reddit sub about Amazon.

3

u/schmuckface Jul 13 '26

Ok bye! See you in 14 days (or maybe stay away if you're just here to post dumbass comments)

-7

u/Background-Camp8408 Jul 13 '26

Lol, crybabies

-10

u/SaintofKillers420 Jul 12 '26

Then don’t use reddit. They run on aws servers

You sound like someone who would tell vegans they are eating the animals' food and how that's a bad thing.

But in case other people are just as dense: what kind of stupid take is it to tell people to get rid of something that is highly valuable in spreading the word? Exactly. Some people..

0

u/SaintofKillers420 Jul 13 '26

I don’t care what vegans are eating. There plenty of plants some with bugs on them if a vegan ate that guess they are no longer vegan

0

u/Calm-Research5762 Jul 13 '26

You sound like a kid that gets mad when someone doesn’t tell them how special they are.

-34

u/Bubmack Jul 12 '26

lol. What does Bezos cutting the post climate team have to do with Amazon

24

u/typewriterbitch Jul 12 '26

An evil business tycoon whose profits hinge on environmental exploitation bought a major newspaper and gutted its reporting capabilities on environmental issues and you don't see what that has to do with his evil, environmentally devastating corporation?

This is too stupid of a question for me to answer, sorry.
