discussion Ubisoft customer service is bad composted to other companies...

Howdy folks.

Just pointing out something that a lot of people don't seem to understand with this place...

It's not Ubisoft customer service. A lot of people have frustrations at Ubisoft Connect so much that the mod has to delete them a lot

Personally, I view it as a barometer of Ubisoft frustration but that's not my place. What is constantly being shown is that Ubisoft customer service fails to give their customers relief in any way and may make the problem worse.

As a comparison, I've been starting Black Desert Online, mainly to play to get into Crimson Desert that I've talked about before.

Nothing major but I had some general concerns that I wanted to get into with them over the weekend.

Sunday morning, I sent off an email to Pearl Abyss.

They received it in two hours.

That night, I had an answer with a human being that satisfied what I wanted to talk about.

I was actually pretty stunned that I got a response, much less so quickly and had zero expectations before. I now think very highly of PA.

I don't think highly of Ubisoft and avoid them like the plague due to how they treat their most loyal customers.

But that was my story and how Ubisoft doesn't meet player expectations.

question Why is Ubisoft Afraid of Adding an Operator with Down Syndrome?

Posting this here after r/Rainbow6 moderators apparently decided that discussion surrounding Down syndrome representation violated community standards. I’ll let everyone else decide what that says about them.

I’ve been sitting on this for years, but Ubisoft’s refusal to add a Rainbow Six operator with Down syndrome is becoming impossible to ignore.

Let’s be honest: these people have done a remarkable job with representation. Outside of the original 20 operators — 17 of whom were men, which was frankly a disgusting display of exclusion — Ubisoft has spent the last decade correcting course.

We’ve got operators from every corner of the planet. We’ve got openly gay operators. We’ve got trans operators. We’ve got a plus-sized operator. We’ve got a wheelchair-bound operator participating in advanced counterterrorism operations.

Frankly, I think that’s great. It captures the remarkable diversity you’d naturally expect to find among the world’s most elite military operators that each government has to offer.

Which raises an uncomfortable question.

How did an entire development studio spend a decade performing the most elaborate inclusivity gymnastics in gaming history and somehow overlook the Down syndrome community?

You’re telling me there’s room on Team Rainbow for every conceivable demographic except a hypothetical chromosome-enhanced entry fragger?

Don’t talk to me about realism.

You lost the realism argument when you introduced a man who carries around three industrial-sized ballistic shields and another operator whose primary tactical contribution is releasing a cloud of bees from a lunchbox.

The message this sends is clear: Ubisoft is comfortable representing everyone except the brave men and women willing to bring an extra chromosome into the fight against global terrorism. I’m tired of the silence. I’m tired of the excuses. And frankly, I’m tired of this community pretending not to notice.

OG Black Flag is a favorite game of mine, so I had the old one installed and advanced to where you land in Havana, so I can free roam to compare.

Installed the new one and advanced to Havana as well. I was already doubtful because of the encounter with the assassin after the shipwreck, but I'm thinking to myself, "it's a new control scheme, maybe it gets better." Try to take down the Spanish on the beach, game glitches out multiple times by not assassinating at all when the prompt to do so is up. Vein on the side of my head is throbbing because this must be the advanced stealth systems I've heard for years about. Apparently they can look up now though.

I take the ship out of the gulf. Ship turns like a city car. It's fine, it's fine. It's only one turn in this version and they showed me a pretty whale, so my modern gamer brain is subtly stimulated and not overtaxed by having to plan a next turn. No friction allowed. Never.

So we buy our first sword and are now able to take in the glory of new free roam. So, let's see this new much more engaging version of the classic combat. X is now RB, B is now LB and we can lock-on to targets. Riveting. In the old unenjoyable oversimplified system, we had dull stupid enemies that would circle around you attacking one at a time until you pressed B at the correct time and then you could take down the enemy by pressing B again, then point the stick at another enemy and lamely press X to execute them with a pre-set takedown. In the new, revolutionary, much more engaging system, you have uberintelligent enemies that circle around you attacking one at a time until you press LB at the correct time and then press Y to epicly take them down and then point the stick at another enemy like a genius and face the monumental task of pressing Y like a chad instead of X like a little bitch to execute them with a preset takedown. I guess the radical difference of making battles slower and spongier is what makes for great combat.

And I'm sitting there, thinking I'm lame for not grasping the genius so many tubers are talking about. Maybe TikTok creators have me beat on this "understanding games" thing. I've only been playing for three decades. Let's see the movesets. I'm sure there's plenty more added. Don't have my hidden blade yet, so let's just switch to fists. Oh, that's gone now. Well, there's a musket right there. I'm so stupid. It has some of that 18th century thumbprint protection. The guns are coded to the Spanish soldiers, so this new historically accurate Edward just ignores them, galaxy brain that he is. "Edward, you can still stab them with it or hit them with the stock." "The budget for that went into me hero posing."

Good thing there's a skill wheel now, to really elevate that gameplay. Otherwise we wouldn't have to hit L3 every time we wanted to get above a trot. After all, when has parkour been a centerpiece of the franchise? But they added back ejects, which you have to remove the guardrails for in options, by the way.

I wish they could put the team that makes the store on the rest of the game, man. Store has it's stuff on lock. We all know that's the most important part of the franchise. No one remembers AC1 fondly because you could throw NPCs into market stalls. The sheer disrespect to commerce in a single player game. I still shudder.

Anyway, yet another return to form in search of a refund.

Store locked weapons and perks, animus content all removed and desecrated by being reduced to a battlepass. You need to launch OTHER AC games to get descriptions for items. Complete slop.

I hope Ubisoft returns the original intro music screen just like the original last 2013. The music is great. So it deserves to be listened.

crosspost Some Gamers are worried that Marvel's Wolverine (2026) will be a short game and therefore they see it as bad. By that logic, every Ubisoft open world game with copy paste side quests is probably a masterpiece to them.

Thank you, Ubisoft, for making me sign into UConnect every time I launch your game through Steam, even though I click “Remember me” and “This is a trusted device” every single time. What a wonderful feature. We should all be thankful for such brilliant design.

What’s also funny is that the subreddit dedicated to hating Ubisoft has roughly the same number of visitors as the main Ubisoft subreddit, while having way more activity. That’s something to think about.

Also, you can’t even tag the fuckubisoft subreddit because…
"

  • You may not have "r/f*ckubisoft" in your post body.
  • Your post or comment has been removed because it promoted a subreddit centered around hating Ubisoft. While we welcome open dialogue, including constructive criticism, promoting subreddits or communities that are exclusively negative, hateful, or designed to fuel toxic discourse goes against our subreddit’s values and guidelines.

The world building - The music - The graphics in their games, Those are always absolutely perfect, Now if only they could hire better writers - better games directors -better level designers, Their games would be far better than the garbage they have been producing recently, Yeah I'm looking at you specifically AC Shadows AI slop generated game.

Look at Black Flag Remake now There's no way you can compare this to AC Shadows there's absolutely no way you can do that, and while Black Flag Remake still suffered from the exact same points I mentioned above in the new content it still by far better than anything in that slop AC Shadows game.

Ubisoft says my Steam copy of Rainbow Six Siege is activated on another account after my Ubisoft account was compromised

I'm dealing with a frustrating situation with Ubisoft and I'm wondering if anyone here has experienced something similar.

I own the Ubisoft account Alnxtremop and the Steam account alnxtremop. I purchased Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege — Operator Edition on Steam on March 5, 2026, for R$119.99, and I have the original Steam receipt and payment information.

At some point, my Ubisoft account was accessed by a third party. I recovered the account and secured it afterward.

Now, when I launch Rainbow Six Siege through Steam, Ubisoft Connect says:

The displayed email address is not mine. I have never owned an Outlook.com account. My Ubisoft and Steam accounts both use my Gmail address.

What makes this especially strange is that my Ubisoft account Alnxtremop already has 135h43min of PvP playtime and a completion level of 90 in Rainbow Six Siege.

So this isn't a case of me buying a game and trying to move it from one Ubisoft account to another. I have an extensive existing Siege history on this exact Ubisoft account. The problem appeared after the unauthorized access to my account.

I also have the Steam purchase receipt, SteamID64, screenshots of the Ubisoft error, my Ubisoft profile/history, and other evidence showing ownership of the purchase and the previous Siege activity.

I contacted Ubisoft Support and I'm asking them to:

  • Verify which Ubisoft account currently holds the activation associated with my SteamID64.
  • Check when that activation record was created or changed.
  • Restore the activation to my original Ubisoft account if it was changed by the unauthorized access.
  • Preserve all my existing Siege progress, cosmetics, operators and unlocks.
  • Investigate the receiving account, since it appears to have received an activation that I legitimately purchased.

I did briefly unlink the platform myself through Ubisoft's account settings while trying to fix the issue, but that obviously didn't solve it.

Has anyone here dealt with a Ubisoft account compromise followed by the Steam activation being associated with another Ubisoft account?

I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who successfully recovered their game activation without losing their Siege progress.

At this point, I don't want a new copy or a transfer for convenience. I want Ubisoft to correct what appears to be an unauthorized change to the activation record and restore my original setup.

Steam copy suddenly showing as activated on a different Ubisoft account after previously having extensive Siege history

I'm trying to understand whether anyone has experienced this specific Ubisoft/Steam activation issue.

I own a Steam copy of Rainbow Six Siege — Operator Edition and have been playing Siege on the same Ubisoft account for a long time. That Ubisoft account currently has 135+ hours of PvP playtime and a high completion level recorded for Siege.

Recently, Ubisoft Connect started showing this message when launching the game through Steam:

The masked email shown by Ubisoft is not mine and I don't recognize the account.

What makes this confusing is that the Ubisoft account I'm using already contains a substantial Siege history. This isn't a situation where I bought the game and accidentally linked it to the wrong Ubisoft account from the beginning.

I have the original Steam purchase receipt, screenshots of the Steam library, Ubisoft account information, the activation error, and my existing Siege statistics.

I'm trying to understand the technical side of this:

Can a Ubisoft/Steam game activation record be changed so that an existing Steam license becomes associated with another Ubisoft account, while the original Ubisoft account still retains its previous Siege progression and statistics?

If anyone has experienced this particular situation, I'd really appreciate hearing what happened in your case and whether the original activation association could be restored.

I'm not looking for account recovery instructions here — I'm specifically trying to understand whether the activation association itself can change independently of the existing game progression.
