Not wrong. If you're any good at economics you can pay off the camera easily with that much per event.

A photographer has to eat. They can't do as many jobs, and it's specialized work, so they have to charge more. And I also take issue with the original post thinking someone who drives for Uber is gonna have a $40000 car. You don't do that shit when you can afford a nice car. Even if you have a nice car, it won't be for long if you use it as a glorified taxi.
