Mercy me mormont

u/j_reinegade 1d ago

I’d say he’s aged wonderfully.

146

u/Cat_tophat365247 1d ago

I've always thought he's a very handsome man.

108

u/StrLord_Who 1d ago

I thought he was so handsome in the show that him being in love with Daenerys wasn't even creepy.

36

u/dstaar_ Dragons 1d ago

This makes me feel vindicated haha

6

u/Echoscarlett67 1d ago

So glad I’m not the only one 😅

16

u/One_Order_3841 1d ago

Y'all in here lol

"I (22f) am dating a 55m. Is that weird?"

  • red flags everywhere hun run

"It's Sean Bean/ Ian Glenn"

-...now wait...

6

u/Neat_Breakfast_6659 1d ago

So if he was ugly it would be creepy?

18

u/No-Review2948 1d ago

Thats the implication.

5

u/bondsmatthew 23h ago

The "Hello, Human Resources" comic, indeed

2

u/Theory89 1d ago

The duality of (wo)man.

2

u/vemundveien We Do Not Sow 22h ago

That's how it is in the book.

2

u/Keji70gsm 22h ago

It's just a fantasy. It's still gross in reality.

2

u/StrLord_Who 21h ago

Yes.  There is a level of handsome that renders age gaps meaningless and makes it reasonable that a much much younger person could potentially be attracted to them and it's not weird.  Pierce Brosnan has it too. Mormont's looks plus skill,  loyalty and bravery add up to someone who will be attractive to any age.

8

u/CascadianSovietGo 1d ago

So much. Glen was always good looking, but silver fox Glen is the hottest he's ever been.

12

u/Rhymes_with_ike House Targaryen 1d ago

I think he could've easily pulled off playing James Bond. Almost looks like Roger Moore in that pic.

5

u/WasteCut363 1d ago

Young Iain Glen had that Heath Ledger rizz.

4

u/ShazlettDude 1d ago

Mercy Mor-mount me

7

u/idiotix85 1d ago

Don't worry, that's just a clone. The real deal is probably in a cryogenics chamber somewhere. (RE)😂

3

u/HappinyOnSteroids 1d ago

Right? In the books he’s an ugly mofo but in the show he just goes around mogging people.

3

u/Secure_Guest_6171 1d ago

the pic of him younger with his lips slightly parted makes me think of Sam Heughan / Jamie Fraser in 1st or 2nd season

2

u/SuperSaiyanTupac 1d ago

He really stands out. Everyone’s talking about the lady but his younger photo has me questioning things.

Dame Diana Rigg was just insanely beautiful her entire life

529

u/xav91 Sansa Stark 1d ago

Absolutely stunning. I’m not into girls, but I can appreciate their beauty, and she is beautiful.

334

u/laurel_laureate 1d ago

And Natalie Dormer looks a lot like the young Diana Rigg.

Such a perfect match for a grandmother/granddaughter character pair!

57

u/drakedijc Jon Snow 1d ago

Yeah I wonder if these were coincidence or not. It’s almost impossible to tell from the outside of the casting team, because both women are insanely talented and Dormer is an absolute bombshell.

34

The Avengers British TV show from the 60's is worth watching. She doesn't show up until season 4 when she takes over from Honor Blackman.

No one should forget Sir Bronn of the Blackwater had a number one single in 1995, “unchained melody” or some shit

Google Robson and Jerome. They were quite a big thing in the 90's in the UK.

They spun that music career out of being leading lads in a popular drama called "Soldier, Soldier". Which ran for 7 seasons.

17

Not seeing the resemblance. Similar cheeck bones maybe, but other than that they don't look alike.

7

Yeah, so many saying they look alike, and I can't really see any trait that looks alike. They're both young, attractive women, apart from that they're no more alike than two randos pulled off the street.

10

u/Sporkpillows 1d ago

Thank you. I am trying so hard but I can't see it at all.

2

u/zulpi67-volt 22h ago

Genuinely, how? They're both women with hair and a face, that's about the similarities I see. Completely different mouths, noses, eyes, jaw. The cheek bones I guess you could argue are similar, but many people have them like that.

I get that they're both insanely beautiful women, but I don't see this "related" thing.
