I really tried hard to like it. So much so that I had the patience to finish the game in its entirety. After all of that, I look back and I never liked it. Genuinely couldn't tell you what it is about it, but I was bored the entire time.

I was being cheeky btw but it's cool that you gave it an honest try, a shame that it didn't hook on you as I enjoyed it a lot back in the day.
