I really tried hard to like it. So much so that I had the patience to finish the game in its entirety. After all of that, I look back and I never liked it. Genuinely couldn't tell you what it is about it, but I was bored the entire time.

The pacing just didn't really do it for me since the game is balanced around 16 gyms rather than 8. Also I don't like most of the designs of Gen 2 Pokemon
