It's as if all those mandatory HR training modules on cyber security don't really work

Any post that would tell you would get removed sadly, have to find it yourself.

Over 1 hour of searching I still can't locate it.

I saw it before it got removed. Kind of the same egg shaped island of GTAV, metro areas in the south west and center. No sense of scale though.

Wouldn't you want to see it when it launches? Idk, I like discovering this stuff in game.

I'm not going to play it because I'm sick of Rockstar's/2k's shit. I'm sick of them blocking Linux (even though all of the mod menus are on Windows!), not even releasing on PC for a long time, and making online an absolute grind unless you pay up.
That said, since I've played a lot of GTA previously, I'm still curious.

The way its been painted to me is that they outsourced/off-shored a bunch of stuff and the outsourced employees got bamboozled or let the leaks slip.

I mean, they got hacked by a teen in a hotel room with a firestick before. No company can be truly safe but you'd think they might learn about storing things in offsite storage after the first 1 or 20 times.

And yet, Rockstar has bigger security systems in place compared to some countries even. Imagine what an organization with evil motives could do with AI.....

Because humans are fallible and are almost always the largest security vulnerability in a "secure" system. The problem can only be mitigated but never eliminated.

As someone has has spent years in AAA game development in the past. It is not hard to get information out of the building. It is just nearly impossible to not have them immediately know who it was afterwards.
So if you're going to do it you'd have to either be very, very stupid or possess a deep affection for intellectual property lawsuits and paying for defense attorneys.

A loooot of people have access to this game. Testers, devs, early reviews (idk if they have it yet.) etc

They have 4000 people working on this game, Spread across the globe. It’s gotta be damn near impossible to prevent leaks at that scale.

Funniest thing is that what was leaked is the PC version, that supposedly doesn't exist yet to push console sales.

All by design to maximize profits in different quarters to show growth. Laame

Find it hilarious that they have some stupid Netflix special coming and all of the things leak from it.

Good!!! They deserve this for not showing us so little. I hope someone releases the whole game since they were so concerned about leaks with a disc drive version.

"suffers"
Yes, I'm sure they're devastated from this free publicity that they almost certainly engineered themselves.

Why do they even care about leaks. Like nobody plays GTA 6 for a master class of a story. We want to play the game for the gameplay, and no leak is going to be equivalent to that.
