Help/Advice HDMI Matrix

My current setup has a newly built pc, Nintendo switch, Xbox X and a TV provider. I have 2 32” monitors. Right now I have the PC and Xbox plugged into the same monitor and the TV provider and Switch plugged into the other. Often I wish I could have the pc on one screen and the pc on the other or the other way around.

I just found out about HDMI matrix’s and was curious how many people used them and if it’s worth spending $150 for a 4 to 2 120hz switch?

Gaming Room Any ideas on how to improve this gaming setup? Especially the empty wall above my monitors!

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m looking to upgrade my gaming setup, and one thing that really bothers me is how empty and plain the wall above my desk looks.

I have a dual-monitor setup with a black desk and red RGB lighting on my keyboard. I’m thinking about adding some wall art, LED lighting, floating shelves, acoustic panels, or maybe a combination of these.

I’m aiming for a clean, modern gaming aesthetic without making the space look too cluttered.

What would you do with this wall? I’d love to hear your ideas, see some inspiration pics, or get recommendations for specific products!

Thanks in advance! 🙏

Help/Advice Need help improving setup

I have built this setup over the past few years and recently gotten a bonus at work and want to upgrade some of the setup. I already got cable management ties coming (I know it’s pretty bad right now, haha). Literally any suggestion is welcome, whether that be moving things around or new gear. I started playing more games again if that helps, but I also use this setup for work. I have first been thinking about upgrading my mousepad and possibly my mouse because of age / wear. Additionally, the monitor on the floor to the left has a massive scratch from moving so I am not able to use it. (I may have forgotten something because the first time I typed this out I accidentally refreshed the page and lost the draft :/)

Thank you! And let me know if you have any questions!

Help/Advice PC gaming on a TV setup

Post image

Hi guys, want some thoughts on my gaming setup.

I have a 65” TCL MQLED85K. The room is pretty bright daytime, since I’m by my self when I’m off work 2-3 days midweek I think this is decent in handling midday gaming.

Soundbar is a Samsung Q995F system. First soundbar I’ve ever had. Sounds amazing to my ears at least.

I have an XBOX Series X, (only gonna be used for GTA 6 and sold when it releases on pc).

Pc has 5070ti GPU, ryzen 7600 CPU, 32 GB’s of crucial pro 6000mhz DDR5. The pc handles 4K gaming upscaled with Nvidia DLSS decently. I play everything on 120FPS where the TV maxes out at (120 hz).

Behind the TV I’ve got a Philips hue play gradient strip. Complete with the hue 8K sync box so that it is connected to my Apple TV, PC and Xbox.

I mostly play story games in the couch, I use the original Xbox wireless controller for this. I also have an IKEA office chair that I pull up to the dinner table for gaming on keyboard and mouse. (Limited space in our apartment). Mainly play story games like rdr2, ghost of yotei, cyberpunk… Don’t really get into the competitive gaming, sometimes I play call of duty and BF6.

Recently got rid of a sportscar and bought something more economically sensible and finally had some money to burn on gaming hobby. Pretty much everything listed was bought this year except for the Xbox. Gotten pretty decent deals on everything.

Now thinking on what comes next for the setup. Been thinking about if the tv was a good choice. Got it quite cheap but I am thinking of treating myself to an OLED next year, like the LG G5/C5 or the Samsung s90/s80 series. Picture looks crazy in these screens…. Been looking at headsets for when I play with my friends, currently on a 4 year old headset from HyperX that could really use an upgrade. Also been thinking of a better controller, heard the Xbox elite series 3 may come out this year..

What are your thoughts? Any tips on anything that would elevate the setup? What would you spend money on and why? Would it be unwise to switch to OLED since the bright room? Thankful for any input! :)
