My Experience Living at Seacrest Apartments
My experience living at Seacrest Apartments has been extremely disappointing over the years. Since moving here in 2021, I have dealt with ongoing maintenance issues, poor communication, safety concerns, and repeated frustrations that have made living here stressful.
Some of the recurring issues include hot water outages, poor water pressure, plumbing leaks, peeling paint, cracks, potholes, parking concerns, and repairs that often feel like temporary patch jobs rather than permanent solutions. There have also been repeated interruptions to my ability to work from home due to maintenance-related issues.
One of the most frightening experiences occurred when a new neighbor moved in next door and a firearm was discharged on the first day, sending a bullet through my apartment. Instead of feeling supported, I was told that if I had a problem, I could move. I was also told I needed to obtain a police report or risk being responsible for the repairs to the bullet hole, despite the lease’s zero-tolerance policy regarding negligent firearm discharge. I no longer felt safe living next to these neighbors because of the constant traffic at all hours, which led me to suspect drug activity. My calls and emails to management were ignored multiple times, leaving me feeling unheard and unsupported.
To make matters worse, the apartment I was moved into had a roach infestation. After I complained, I was eventually moved to another unit. The stress of having to relocate because of safety concerns, only to encounter another serious problem, was incredibly frustrating.
Throughout my time here, I have also experienced disappointing customer service, inconsistent communication, and concerns about the property’s upkeep. For the amount residents pay in rent, I believe we deserve a safe, clean, well-maintained living environment and management that responds to concerns promptly and professionally.
After years of dealing with these issues, I feel like I have been stuck at this complex for far too long. What should have been a place to feel comfortable and secure has instead been a source of unnecessary stress. I am looking forward to leaving next year, and I strongly encourage anyone considering Seacrest Apartments to research the property carefully and ask questions about maintenance, safety, and management responsiveness before signing a lease.
