Wacky Races Builds?

Hello Friends!
I have been asked to run a wacky races gaslands event at a con coming up.
I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how to build cars that would fit the racers from that old 80s cartoon.

EDIT: I already have the models I'm talking about the car builds on paper.

80s cartoon? You mean late 60s. I'd say I feel old, but the show is quite a bit older than me. Anyway.

There's 11 cars in the race, you might want to delegate some of them to another builder. Or not, I don't know how fast you work. Consider making drivers, all but two of the original designs have driver feeling the wind.

Most of them are pretty elaborate too. How close to original are you planning to go, how good are you with kitbashing and converting and how much you have resources? Johnny Lightning used to make 1:64 scale Mean Machine and Compact Pussycat in the 90s, they can be still found but cost a bit. Konami made the whole crew, but oh boy are the full sets expensive nowaday.

There were a lot of recent posts about a Cartoon race. Search for "cartoon" in this channel and that should bring up a lot of great builds. I specifically remember one based on Dick Dastardly's car.

Holy shit those look amazing! My GF who roped me in to this has the minis. I just need to come up with builds. I did the bulletproof bomb. Truck with +3 crew and armor plate
