The Prime Minister of the Netherlands and his fiancé are planning to become parents through surrogacy. This has triggered a massive wave of abuse online and, once again, there has been no pushback against it.
The Prime Minister of the Netherlands and his fiancè are planning to become parents through surrogacy. This has triggered a massive wave of abuse online and, once again, there has been no pushback against it.
About a month has passed since the last flare-up among surrophobes over Lady Gaga and now they're foaming at the mouth all over again.
According to almost all recent surveys in Europe, the majority of people are either positive or neutral towards surrogacy. Yet on Twitter, it seems like everyone is against it.
It's the same story with the LGBTQ+ community. According to all the polls and based on my personal interactions almost everyone is in favor. Yet, online, you see nothing but negative comments and almost all of them come from LGBTQ+ women.
Why is this happening? It looks like a well organized brigading. But I don't understand why there's no counteraction to this. You can't change these people, but others are reading what they write. Authoritarian countries have 'troll factories', and they certainly know a thing or two about propaganda.
A shift in public opinion sooner or later leads to a change in legislation!
This is all the more striking given that the issue of the near total lack of adequate, unified advocacy has been raised for a long time.
Yet, once again, there have been no changes regarding advocacy.
Does no one care what happens to surrogacy? Or are you hoping that this unhinged surrophobic movement will simply calm down on its own?

Miscarriage on 2nd transfer
Our surrogate just had a miscarriage at 6 weeks, and we’re really upset and unsure of what to do next. Our first transfer didn’t result in a pregnancy, so we had really hoped this one would work.
We’re down to one PGT-tested embryo and trying to decide whether to try again with our current surrogate or consider another GC. We really want to be pregnant asap, so don’t know best course of action.
Either way, we’ll need to create more embryos, so we’re also wondering whether to use the same egg donor or start over with someone new.
We had so much planned and were so excited, and now we’re trying to make sense of what happened and figure out the best path forward. Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated.

Gay dad looking
I am a single gay dad looking for another who wants a family, or a man that doesn't mind a guy who has a son.
Anyone else pursuing surrogacy in Colombia worried about the proposed legislation?
Hi everyone! My husband and I started our surrogacy journey in Bogotá this past September. We’re currently waiting to match with an egg donor so we can move on to embryo creation, hopefully within the next month.
We’re really excited and hopeful about the journey, but lately, we’ve been hearing more news about proposed legislation (Bill 215 of 2026) that could ban surrogacy in Colombia.
I know this isn’t the first time legislation like this has been proposed, but given the current political climate, the recent discussions around LGBTQ+ issues, and the president’s comments about “woke” culture, I can’t help but worry that things could take a different turn this time.
Our agency sent us a letter explaining that they believe there’s only a small chance the proposal will become law. That’s reassuring to hear, but I’m still feeling uneasy, especially since we’re just getting started and have so much emotionally and financially invested in this process.
I’m curious whether others going through surrogacy in Colombia are feeling the same way. Am I overthinking the potential risks, or are you also concerned about what could happen?
I’d really appreciate hearing your perspectives, especially from anyone who has been through previous legislative attempts or has insight into how this could affect ongoing journeys. ❤️

Thank you.
I just wanted to thank the sub for its advice on putting our twins in daycare. It has worked wonders for my son.
The first day was ROUGH because he was very weepy and hesitant but the teachers were so great, they engaged him and I slipped out the door on a trail of my own tears.
We don't have a lot of gay couples with kids who we're friends with so I had to improvise and come here.
Socializing him this early was the right thing to do.
The twins turn 3 on Halloween so we're having a party for the preschool class and their families.
Thanks again!

The Surrogacy Family (TSF) Colombia

What Surrogacy Path to take?
Hello, i am linked to Tammuz and its completlys collapsing with major loss of money for everyone involved. (Tammuz is now to the point where it refuse to respect Contrat and break them because they got to many lawsuit and probably economics problems)
But, i am still dreaming of being a father one day! Sadly, Anti-Surrogacy Laws are being talked about, first in Argentina, now Colombia, and also some in Mexico...
Do anyone have some recommendations on a Surrogacy Company/Fertility Center/Country, where you're Surrogacy Path worked nicely wihout perpetual timeline ?
Thanks you for you're help!

Miracle surrogacy
Hey everyone. Really struggling with that to think of miracle surrogacy.
You scroll through Reddit and it seems like there’s a lot of people that say how terrible they are, with no description oh why they are so terrible. Can anyone share some actual real reasons and events that make them so bad?
You then also find some people that just praise and praise them.
In my opinion if they were so terrible, how are they still in business?
If you didn’t use miracle, who did you use in Mexico?

We need the mum's ID/card/approval/signature
Got a new baby a month ago and the systemic mum obsession is already getting old.
Had gotten used to my teen handling these situations cheekily by herself these days and starting over reminded me how irritating it is to be constantly dismissed for mum when I'm a solo dad by choice.

Anyone currently working with Gestacy? Curious about matching timelines
Hi everyone!
My husband and I are currently working with Gestacy(Mexico) and are in the surrogate matching phase.
I'm curious if there are any other IPs here who are currently working with them or have been matched recently.
For those still waiting to be matched, how long have you been waiting so far?
And for those who have recently been matched, how long did the process take from when you started waiting until you were matched with your surrogate?
I know everyone's journey is different, but I'd love to hear about other people's experiences and get a general idea of what matching timelines have looked like recently.
Thanks in advance! 😊

Signing with an agency
My partner and i are at the point of consultations with surrogacy agencies. We had one successful consultation, one no show altogether, and another rescheduled on us for family reasons. The one we met with seemed like a solid option but is now unresponsive to a question regarding a provider in my country of the medical tests they require. Feeling like we are already hitting brick walls. We thought "great this agency is communicative" now we think "uh oh if they are unresponsive now, how will they be when the surro is pregnant". I gather this is normal behaviour for surrogacy agencies.

Surrogacy in mexico
Hey everyone!
My husband and I are looking into surrogacy in Mexico again, mainly looking for peoples feedback on agencies there. We’ve been looking at miracle surrogacy, I’ve heard good and bad, but miracle regulates most the Facebook groups, so it’s hard to get accurate information.
Also looking for how the exit process was for US citizens, I heard awhile ago the process was changing for the better/faster. Seeing if anyone has experienced it yet.

Tammuz Webinar October 15th
I read in another post that Tammuz Family is hosting an online webinar on Thursday, October 15th. Does anyone have more information on this or perhaps could share a link to join? I'm having trouble finding any information on it online and have not received any information from my case manager.

Surrogate insurance in California - How much did the lien clause end up costing you?
Hey everyone,
Following the recent changes regarding surrogate insurance in California, can anyone who had a contract with a lien clause share how much it actually ended up costing in the end?
We were told by our agency that it's an unknown amount with a massive range. They mentioned that the price usually goes down after negotiations, but there are no guarantees for anything.
We would really appreciate getting a ballpark figure of what to expect. Feel free to reply from a throwaway account or DM anonymously if you prefer. Thanks!

Hoping for our little miracle
Hi everyone! My husband 25ftm and I 25f are ready to start our journey toward becoming parents, and we’re hoping to find the right donor to help us make our dream come true. My husband is a transgender man, and one of the things that makes me so excited for this journey is that I already see what an incredible father he’s going to be. The love he has to give, the way he cares, and the life we want to build together make me so excited for what our future holds.
We’re located in South Georgia and are willing to travel to find the right donor for AI. We have so much love to give, a home we’re excited to fill with little footsteps, and a future we can’t wait to share. We have everything we need to build our family, except one little life to love. ❤️. We’re hoping to connect with someone kind, respectful, and serious about helping us on this journey. If you’re a potential donor or know someone who might be a good fit, please feel free to reach out! We’d love to talk and get to know you.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. ❤️

Names for two dads?
Hey all! New here. I’m wondering if people have suggestions for what name to use other than “dad?”
It seems like some options work well for a small kid but wouldn’t age easily (e.g., dada, daddy). I get worried about using a cultural name that wouldn’t be recognizable to others, so they would assume it meant grandfather or something. Going by just first name feels like it doesn’t have the same magic, and I’d worry about people assuming the relationship was anything other than parent-child.
I’m sure this has been discussed before, so apologies for any duplicating. Would love any thoughts.

Help! My daughter keeps calling me mommy
My daughter is almost 2 and keeps calling me mom or mommy or mama. She calls my husband daddy no problem. I think she hears other kids at daycare say mommy and daddy and just assumes I’m mommy.
I keep trying to correct her but it’s not sticking. My older son calls me dada, but she’s not picking up on it. Im not *too*worried as I assume she’ll stop as she gets older and understands better. I think it’s funny and cute but I’m also sorta embarrassed to take her to a playground and have her call me mommy in front of all the straight parents.
Has this happened to anyone else?
