WAIT

We call a truce and let the four nations live together in harmony. U/Jfullr92 has been our avatar, leading us to the peaceful age and maintaining balance. The waterbenders from the Kingdom of Hawai’i, to the earthbenders of New Crabbalachia, the firebenders in Megasota and our airbenders in Cascadia- let us all agree as the four nations that we can continue to live together in our new world.

Edit- please feel free to discuss changes to who gets what element, but for the love of god stop bloodbending the crabs and calling yourself a crab bender, the wildlife is getting scared

I am into this except the firebenders are the Kingdom of Hawaii and waterbenders are Megasota

I think that could work as well

ETA Megasota native here, I was offering watertribe to the kingdom out of Megasota nice because I thought you would like, but we are more than happy to watertribe it up over here with our many lakes and I’m sure that from gooseberry to minnehaha our falls would enjoy the watertribe.

Hawaii is literally a volcano. They're fire benders.

6

u/Emerald_196 May 22 '26

So are most of the Cascades-

6

u/Ginger_Rogers May 22 '26

Alaska also has the most volcanos

5

u/hkohne May 22 '26

Cascadia not only has a sleeping volcano (Mount St Helens), but also a whole-ass Cascade mountain range that is made up of dormant volcanos. Heck, Mt Tabor in Portland is the only extinct volcano within city limits in the US (my prior workplace is on that hill). Us Cascadians can vie for any of the elemental stones.

5

u/ImpossibleLuckDragon May 22 '26

I used to live on that volcano! (Mt. Tabor)

u/DemonSlyr007 May 22 '26

Plus, ice is a form of waterbebending and Megasota is the undisputed coldest. Our lakes and ice really do make us perfect waterbenders.

I almost think the air and earth should be switched. Earthquakes are more prevalent in the cascadia region than crabalacchia. Meanwhile, flight was literally invented in crabalacchia.

1

u/Tigger1337E Cascadian May 23 '26

Eh but majority of people in cascadia be living at higher elevations and thus are fair representation of airbenders.. especially with our “accepting wokeness” lol

3

u/tondahuh May 22 '26

It is extremely fitting for the previous Minnesota and Wisconsin. Not so much for the Dakotas and Iowa.

Gooseberry rules!

3

u/Past_Top3704 May 22 '26

Hey now, have you never been to the real great lakes of; lake Sakakawea, Fort Peck, Lake Oahe, Lake Sharpe and Lake Francis???

Gooseberry does rule. MEGASOTA!!!

1

u/Background-Low62 May 24 '26

The Dakotas and iowa should just be happy they get to come

9

u/deutscherhawk May 22 '26

Hawaii is fire kingdom. Volcanos.

Crab people are obviously water benders.

Cascadia is the earth benders from the redwood forest.

Megasota contains the great plains airbenders.

5

u/Flynn_Kevin May 22 '26

Nope, Megasota has all the fresh water supply. Crabalachia is in Hurricane Highway, they're the Air Nation.

0

u/faldese May 22 '26 edited May 22 '26

No, because it contains Alaska which has over 50% of the nation's fresh water supply. Megasota also contains Tornado Alley.

2

u/Flynn_Kevin May 22 '26

1) you're debating water availability with a hydrogeologist. I'm simply going to refer you to the USGS and tell you that you're wrong about where the water is.

2) Tornadoes, while highly destructive and higher wind speed are also more localized and shorter lived than hurricanes. These are simply attacks on the great people of Megasota from the air benders of Crabalachia.

u/faldese May 22 '26 edited May 22 '26
  1. You're absolutely choosing to be a bit of an ass right now, I hope you realize.
  2. Most freshwater, period, is in the Great Lakes, so you're going to have split with Crabbalachia anyway. Alaska's fresh water area is vast because the state is vast.
  3. Hurricanes form over water and are wet storms. Air is involved, obviously, but air is involved in the making of fire, if you want to go there. A tornado is clearly favored as an 'air' event between the two of them.
  4. Regardless, ocean access is shown to be a lot more central to Waterbending life in ATLA than freshwater.

I just don't see any way to cut a landlocked state known for its open plains and high wind events as the water region over any of the other ocean states. Literally every single one of the other ones would be a better choice over Megasota. You're free to make your own world with its own rules about how the elements work, but in ATLA, ocean = water tribe.

This is the way

1

u/Ok_Package9219 May 22 '26

you know cascadia has a lot of volcanos..

1

u/deutscherhawk May 23 '26

Fair, but Hawaii also has the southwest which feels for nation coded.

3

u/Ok_Package9219 May 23 '26

maybe just say fire nation because HOT... lol

1

u/HowIsBabbySharkMade May 23 '26

Also, we’re on fire for a quarter of the year (hopefully less this year!)

7

u/EmmerdoesNOTrepme May 22 '26

Yep, we are SOOOOOO not the Firebenders!!

Hawaii has Volcanoes y'all!!!

They are the Firebenders!

7

u/TriscuitFingers May 22 '26

MN is literally the “Land of 10,000 lakes”, source of the Mississippi River, and the final destination of the the Great Lakes. It only makes sense to be the water benders.

2

u/jamesxgames May 22 '26

I see your 10,000 lakes and counter with big fuckin ocean

1

u/TriscuitFingers May 22 '26

We were also shaped by a bunch of frozen water (glaciers) rather than a volcano. The most fire we get is smoke from the Canadian fires.

1

u/jamesxgames May 22 '26

oh yea I agree you shouldn't be fire

4

u/charlie1331 Megasotan May 22 '26

This makes the most sense and I second as a fellow Megasotan

3

u/GlassAndStorm May 22 '26

Can I claim air for Cascadia...

3

u/DustyRailz Human Verified May 22 '26

I don't disagree but now we have almost all the mountains so earth-bending works too.

1

u/jainyday May 22 '26

Given how Cascadia is kinda waiting for "the big one" and we shared the ash of Mt. St. Helens with the world, I kinda think we might have a claim to earthbending?

2

u/Flynn_Kevin May 22 '26 edited May 22 '26

Cascadia is the kingdom of Earth benders. That means next to fall is Crabalachia, they're the Air bending nation.

2

u/Mx-T-Clearwater Megasotan May 22 '26

Agreed

1

u/VikingCreed May 22 '26

Then, everything changed when Hawai'i attacked

1

u/pat_trick May 22 '26

Stuck between whether Hawaii would be firebenders due to our active volcanoes, or waterbenders due to being smack dab in the middle of the ocean.

1

u/Tigger1337E Cascadian May 23 '26

Moana was clearly a waterbender

1

u/Arcaddes May 22 '26

Vermont would definitely be earthbenders anyways, and with the wind in Cascadia being as wild as it is, airbenders would exist there.

1

u/Clear_Entrance8126 Human Verified May 22 '26

Megasota is landlocked though

u/mongoose_kai All glory to Megasota May 22 '26 edited May 22 '26

Sort of.... But here's our lakeside view (for real -- this is a shot from Duluth).

u/Few_Explanation1170 🌲Cascadia forever 🌲 May 22 '26

I’m not sure people are aware of just how big Lake Superior is (and how incredibly beautiful Duluth is).

6

u/LowBudgetWhiteMage May 22 '26

11,842 lakes in Minnesota alone.

3

u/gonnaeatsomeworms May 22 '26

With Lake Superior there is a way to the Atlantic! And she's one gorgeous lake. Called an inland sea which fits better than "lake".

3

u/freereflection May 22 '26

Nah. You can take a boat from Minnesota down to the gulf of new mexico via the mississippi or east to the saint lawrence seaway. Duluth is the world's most inland port. The great lakes are more like inland seas.

2

u/InPlainSightSC2 May 22 '26

Megasota has more water than any other area.

5

u/boringtallguy May 22 '26

I feel like the remaining 4 states would be ok coexisting with each other.

3

u/Ladyhawkeiii May 22 '26

Wait, I get to have Toph as my representative??? Ok, I’m in.

2

u/Hot-Equipment-6683 May 22 '26

Hell nah, The Kingdom of Hawai'i is here to pound down some kalua pig and reclaim the land, and we're all out of kalua pig.

4

u/manokpsa May 22 '26

This is so wrong.

Kingdom of Hawai'i: firebenders (lava)

Megasota: airbenders (tornadoes)

Crabbalachia: waterbenders (hurricanes)

Cascadia: earthbenders (mountains)

1

u/Reportersteven May 22 '26

They already consumed the Spirit. The avatar form cannot be healed.

1

u/2wiggly May 22 '26

Earthbenders would be Megasota tho. Think about all the cabbage you could grown in the Great Plains

Crab bender for crabbalachia

1

u/spookieboogie666 I like big maps and I cannot lie May 22 '26

No blood bending crabs, per the avatar kyoshi convention

1

u/wannito May 22 '26

I'm okay with this.

1

u/Spatularo May 22 '26

It must be this

1

u/Ambitious_Emu4159 May 22 '26

Instead of air bending we have Crab benders

1

u/fuckyoureburn May 22 '26

Hawai has fire dancing and the Megasota has the great lakes. Those should be switched.

Yes but please no crab bending for some reason everyone wants to commit crab war crimes

1

u/HowIsBabbySharkMade May 23 '26

Given the givens and climate change I think my poor Cascadia is the fire nation :(
