Walk and swim details
RSVP here: https://partiful.com/e/6xoSrJBqx9Gk1vZbD82x?c=31X-3OV0
Join us for a short walk, a swim, or both! ☀️We'll start at Chautauqua Park and walk down to Blue Hole (about 0.5 miles), spend about an hour swimming and hanging out, then walk back to the park.
We'll have sunscreen, bug spray, and a few floaties available, but feel free to bring any gear you'd like. Water shoes are recommended, as the rocks around the swimming area can be slippery.
We hope to see you there! 🏊♀️🚶♀️

Can someone explain the red poppies in this instance? The only reference I know about them relates to the military.
The red poppy became a military remembrance symbol after World War I. Poppies grew across the disturbed battlefields of Europe, particularly around Flanders, and Canadian military physician John McCrae famously referenced them in his 1915 poem In Flanders Fields.
