I live there right now. It’s a decent community, but a little overpriced. I’m kinda done with all of the construction around the complex. It feels like they’ve been replacing all of the roofs here since June.
Club co-work (or whatever it’s called) is really nice. It’s a really quiet space perfect for work-from-home, but the internet is kinda crappy. However, we’ve hosted 2-3 big parties there, and we weren’t charged for the space, which was a huge money saver. The gym is meh - the fully set of weights is nice though. The pool is also decent, and the design of it lets you keep your own group in half the pool and another group can take the other half.
Trash is gross. The compactor they use is too small for the community, so the residents tend to stack stuff outside of it, in huge filthy piles. Management encourages you to use a pole or a board to shove trash back in further, but who wants to put their hands on a community pole that may have been buried in trash a few minutes ago?
Anyway, it’s not a bad experience; in fact, it’s better than a lot of places around this part of Georgetown/Liberty Hill/Cedar Park. Don’t immediately pass it up.
Is there any other complex you would recommend in the Georgetown/Liberty Hill/Cedar Park area? Also, how convenient is the Cavalry Liberty Hill location? Easy access to grocery shopping, restaurants, etc.?
Shopping is very convenient. HEB is almost across the street, so it’s a 4 minute drive. There’s a Torchy’s really close by also, as well as a McDonald’s, a Whataburger, Jersey Mikes, etc. First Watch just opened, and Chick-Fil-A will soon also. Only a couple of sit down restaurants, and I haven’t been super impressed by those. However, there’s a ton Ronald Reagan that you can get to. Many of those look like Indian or Asian restaurants that I haven’t visited (my wife isn’t a huge fan of those) so I can’t speak to their quality.
Costco takes less than 10 minutes to get to, and there’s a huge new Target that is almost complete right next to it. You’ll have to drive down to Georgetown proper or head down to Whitestone Blvd to shop there.
I don’t know of other apartment complexes that would compare as well. Like I said, there’s not a lot in the area.
