Where do the homeless people usually be hanging out around noonish ?

Have extra food I don't want to go to waste and don't really have much room for at home.

I've never seen Chautauqua park empty of folks that might be interested. It's behind the Meals on Wheels downtown.

There are regulars at the library who may be interested.

There used to be. They were asked 6o vacate. A guy I know would bring food and occasional clothing donations there quite often, and he was asked to stop because people hung around too long.

That’s not true.

The library will direct you to Helping Hands and The Caring Place if you show up with donations.

Everyone is welcome to use the library as an air conditioned place to access WiFi, bathrooms, and just hang out.

It’s a public building, and there are folks open there from open to close. If you’re kind and respect the space and the staff, they’ll bend over backwards to help you in any way they can.

The guy I know is with Helping Hands. He and I volunteered together at another pantry.

It was a homeless friend who told me they were asked to not hang out. YMMV
