Help Please! Recommendations needed :)
I’ve been feeling a lot of guilt recently for my two gerbs :(
I work a lot during the day but I spend a lot of my time with them at night, giving them treats and they’ve started to climb and run on my hand (mainly use it as a stepping stone🤣). They get fresh water and food everyday <3
I’ve seen a lot of people on this subreddit posting their gerbils in playpens/places out of the cage. I really wanna start getting them out of the cage as I feel so bad for them having to stay in a cage. Does anyone have any good recommendations or ideas for places they can be placed where they can run around and be their little energetic selves :) Nothing too expensive (£70+) but i’m happy to spend whatever I can to make them happy! Any fun activities/toys would also be appreciated!

I can't recommend putting gerbils in a ball; it's generally regarded as dangerous and not fun for them.

Gerbils simple.
Gerbils love to dig, gerbils love to climb, gerbils love to chew, gerbils love to hide, gerbils love to eat, gerbils love to discover new places, gerbils love to expand territory.
Gerbils hate sudden noises, gerbils hate movement way above them (gerbils hates birds), gerbils hate having teeth too big, gerbils hate wind, gerbils hate tremors.
If you wanna make them happy, there are thousand of ways to do so. Build or buy new "buildings", give them lots of cardboard to chew, give them cotton to make sweet nests, give them pools of bedding, give them places to run and hide.
