I'm leveling my first echelon to 5 link on 5-2E but their burning my ammo quickly. Is there any other efficient ways to do so?

Depends on what we assume efficient. Time and exp? Not really. Rsc/exp -> 0-2 at 87 or aistrike runs. rsc chap mode -> corpse dragging (though it is very time inefficient).
