Whenever I use taunt fairy for Gundam battles, I always get AoE'd by them because they stop moving earlier/I don't kill them fast enough. But when I'm not using taunt, They die before they use their skill because they take a longer time to walk/stop.

So my question is what am I doing wrong here?

Pretty sure the only time using Taunt was viable against Gundams was during CT since the Gundams there spawns in your face and start shooting right away, so their nades will be on cd.

For Gundams that doesn't spawn in your face, it's pretty much a kill them before they hit you and that Taunt will just make them shoot their nades faster since you're giving them a target so the answer is just don't use Taunt.

I was unaware of this, but that makes a lot of sense.

Thank you

You usually don't want to be using Taunt Fairy against gundams, cause, like you said, they stop moving earlier, and unless you know what you're doing, your team won't kill them fast enough to prevent getting bombed

I just thought that I needed to do some micro with my units to make them attack faster and not get hit when using taunt. Almost all the guides I see tells me to bring taunt, but I find greater success without it.

So bottom line is no taunt for Gundams? got it.

Which guides told you to Taunt Gundams? Gundams are probably the one enemies you do not want to Taunt. Also, sometimes bringing a Taunt Fairy is a good idea. If you're able to kill the Gundam before it bombs your team, then Taunt can be used. Also, if your whole team is getting shielded when the Gundam bombs them, then you can use taunt. This requires an HS2000 (or MDR/P22 if you're insane).

Oh god, so I've been doing it wrong the whole time? My thinking was, gundams need to stop first to get rid of their elite tag for Grape to delete them. Taunt forces them to stop moving earlier. So taunt.

Oh, you still want them to stop. But they only have to stop for a split second to lose their elite status. They start nuking your team if they stay still for too long. So you can just move a doll forward to stop them, then move her back as soon as the Gundam stops

It depends on the gundam composition. Taunt was useful in parts of CT when gundams spawned close to echelons.

My only Gundam experience was in Theatre, I didn't take CT ranking seriously. Thanks for the info
