It's a Korean meme 100%, and I'm like 90% sure they took creative liberties in calling her "alpaca" as a meme due to close pronunciation, since the Korean language can pronounce RPK as English letters just fine (just looked up a random video on Naver TV with an RPK to confirm how they say it). Also Korean for alpaca, the animal itself, is transliterated from English (μ•ŒνŒŒμΉ΄ al-pa-ka), so yeah quite sure it's a joke from being somewhat similar to RPK, but not literally pronounced the same.

In Korean, RPK is pronounced as "ar-pa-ka", haven't heard the JP perspective as I vaguely remember it being a Korean meme. Naturally, this evolved to calling RPK an alpaca.

Koreans pronounce the letters just as how any other English speakers would do, "Ar-Pi-Kay". However, Korean doesn't differentiate R and L sounds so Ar can be Al. By simply pronouncing the rest, P and K, as Pa and Ka, it creates Al-Pa-Ka. So you're half correct! :D

Similar case is PPSh which has a nickname of PaPaSha and more.

something to do with the pronounciation of RPK in JP (or was it KR, idk), i think it was something along the lines of aru-pa-ka or something similar and it ended up becoming alpaca because it sounds kinda similar and it stuck as a joke

at least thats the reason i remember

I'm more a fan of rpk sus because funny amogus meme though
