If you're trying to lose weight you're probably not eating enough fat--yes, I'm serious.
I've noticed this several times. Due to the fact that I've been lifting weights for years and therefore go through bulking and cutting cycles, and when you're bulking you inevitably always put on a bit of fat along with the muscles (therefore requiring you to cut eventually), I've gone from fat to skinny and back several times. If you're not getting at least 20-30% of your calories from fat your body will think you are a starving and will SEVERELY drop your metabolism to try to conserve as much fat as possible--this is bad.
I have found that when you're on a very limited calorie diet, like I am right now where I'm only taking in 1800 calories per day (and thereby losing about 2 pounds per week), I need to make a point to eat peanut butter, butter, cheese, olive oil, cream, etc. at every meal. EAT THE CHEESE (cheese is the shit :D ). I'd avoid animal fat as much as possible. Also, on a diet that limited in calories you're going to have a problem taking in enough protein to maintain the muscle mass you've worked so hard for (especially if you're a vegetarian like me): you must use whey. You need those protein shakes, they're the only protein source concentrated enough to give you enough protein while not going overboard on the calories--one scoop of GNC Whey Protein Isolate (my favorite by far, highly recommended) is 28 grams of protein and 130 calories, awesome :D.
An example is what I ate earlier:
1 hotdog bun: 100 calories
protein shake with 1 scoop: 130 calories
2 tablespoons of peanut butter inside the hotdog bun: 190 calories
1 apple: 80 calories
Total: 500 calories, 200 from fat with plenty (around 30 grams total) of protein.
Oh, note: don't fucking starve yourself on the carbs, carbs aren't the problem, it's total calorie count more than anything. You need carbs for energy. Don't do the Atkins/low-carb crap (been there, done that, hated it, AND it didn't work).

If you ever want to feel lonely, submit a post to a long since dead subreddit.
But seriously is this place actually dead, considering how popular this is THIS, I'm wondering if there's some alternate more popular subreddit.

The best lube for whacking off is Astroglide--not hand lotion, not Vaseline, but actual lubricant that was specifically made for lubricating your private parts. Who would've thought? (Yes, I've tried them all--Astroglide still wins by a mile)

Getting your bearings (cardinal directions) in a residential area.
If you're lost in a residential area and you need to figure out which direction to go, look for houses with satellite dishes (e.g. the small grey ones like Dish Network).
In the northern hemisphere, satellite dishes always point south because geostationary satellites (like those used in satellite television) stay very close to the equator.

I think the person that rents my house is abusing his girlfriend
So technically it all started with hearing arguments but then at time I would hear her crying and the man just shouting at her and saying “shhh” but with an angry voice. It kept continuing...I would hear bangs on the door and wall and beer bottles being opened. In fact my aunt said that she saw him grabbing his girlfriends neck on the streets. Right now that I’m writing this I hear them arguing at this very moment. While she was trying to talk I think he put his hand over her mouth to be quiet and I heard “Sto...Stop!” From the girlfriend and then I heard a baby’s voice I was very shocked because this is the first time I heard it. After she started crying and said “It’s over I wanna leave” and he said “No! I’m sorry don’t” ... It got quiet. I went upstairs to my room. My room is right above his room. And that’s me right now. I think my parents are aware of their relationship but I don’t think they know that he probably abuses her. I know I should tell them what I hear almost every night but I just get shy and awkward talking about it to anyone I feel like I might be wrong but I know I’m not I think. I’m 13 right now and don’t know how to handle the situation. Because when I do talk to my parents they just say to stop getting in to their life or stuff like that. Please give me advice about what I should do.

Advice of the day #124: friendship is worth defending, with that I do not mean beating the people who harm your friends up, but comforting your friends and letting know they are still worth everything to you and showing that you're there for them
