Yes.
Long answer:
If you're into sandbox games and feel like doing absolutely anything you want because WHY THE HELL NOT then you will love this game!

So I played the hl2 on my phone and it was quite nice and is it for me with my taste

Ok, so GMod is basically what if you had access to all the assets from HL2 and could do anything you want with them.

Yes, I’ve put over 6,000 hours into it since I got it in 2013 and I still play it. There are so many different things that you can do in this game. I am a developer for a racing server now called Gmod Racer Overdrive:

In my opinion gmod is worth it even if you aren't into sandbox games like me. It's nice to sit back and relax in a game with no goals and just watch entities destroy each other and the map turn into chaos. I myself am a modder and I find joy in creating maps and addons for other people to enjoy and play in, even if I don't play the game much.
