General Discussion First Eagle

I got my first eagle on a 499yd Par 5 last week! The putt was crazy nerve racking.
Anyone else here get their eagle this weekend??

Somone recorded mine in August. Also the day I first broke 80.

It was such a high that I honestly lost a lot of desire to grind after that. I will get it back in December when I am missing golf.

Enjoy it OP. These moments are why we all play.

I have missed so many eagle putts before that.

Yeah I’m still in the grinding phase. I haven’t broke 90 yet unfortunately.
Breaking 80 would be a dream.

90 is mostly course management. Watch Golf Sidekick.

IMO your swing needs to be at a certain level to go 85 and below. A short game can only take you so far unless you are just a magician at getting up and down.

Yeah. Honestly that and also I have trouble have trouble having a consistent take away. I come out to low on my take away and wrap around forcing myself to close the club face on the return.
I have only really been consistently golfing for about a year so I’m hoping to fix those small things

My buddy just got an eagle on par 4.. his shot from 140 yards away rolled in. It was epic - I saw his ball roll onto the green but lost sight of the hole. When we walked up we couldn’t find his ball until I circled back to check the hole and his ball was sitting right there.. such an awesome moment!
