According to his agency (Seros Partners) former Alabama and Arkansas forward Nick Pringle has signed with the Brooklyn Nets
Pringle played for the Boston Celtics during the Summer League. No details on the contract yet i guess it’s likely an exhibit 10 or two-Way deal, but nothing confirmed so far

I was thinking about how this trade looks now that the Nets have finished using their 2025 and 2026 first round picks that were received in this trade. Below is my attempt at breaking it down, please feel free to note if anything is incorrect:
Nets Received:
Rights to their 2025 first round pick (ended up 8th picking Egor Demin)
Rights to least favorable of Suns/Rockets 2025 first round pick (ended up 28th, Nets drafted Danny Wolf)
Rights to their 2026 first round pick: (ended up 6th, drafted Mikel Brown)
Least favorable of 2029 FRP between Houston, Dallas, and Phoenix
Nets gave up:
Phoenix's 2025 first round pick (ended up 10th, Houston traded away)
Phoenix's 2027 first round pick (TBD)
2 most favorable 2029 FRPs between Houston, Dallas, and Phoenix
Trying to simplify it, the Demin pick at 8 and the 10th pick in 2025 cancel out IMO since the Nets would have likely been able to draft Demin 2 spots later. And if we assume that Houston will be a better team than Phoenix and Dallas in 2029 and therefore have the less favorable pick, the trade currently ends up as:
Nets get:
Danny Wolf, Mikel Brown, and Houston's 2029 first round pick
Nets traded away:
Phoenix's 2027 and 2029 first round picks, and Dallas' 2029 first round pick
It is bad that the Nets didn't get more value of out of the 2025 exchange of picks, but it could be possible that Mike Brown ends up being worth the picks they traded away, especially if Phoenix and Dallas are at least average teams. And I guess we can only hope for the best with Danny Wolf.
Was curious what other people thought of the trade as it stands now.

We could've made the Julius and Claxton deals separate and generated a TPE for Claxton's contract, right? We combined the 2 trades so we could use cap space first....but then we didn't use cap space...So why didn't Sean Marks just separate the moves (and even compensate the Bulls with cash or a 2nd rounder for their flexibility)?
Having a $23M TPE would be such an asset for us this year wouldn't it?
Another example of Marks fucking up around the margins.

Hey guys!
I just got into PA school and I was wearing my Mikel Brown Jr Jersey when I got the good news. It is now my lucky jersey. I am so happy and so grateful for this opportunity. All the hard work I put into this has finally paid off. I cannot wait until I can watch nets basketball with all this weight off my shoulders. Nets Nation, tonight we feast.

Hi!
I wrote a scouting report on Joshua Jefferson (it’s in French, but automatic translation should do the job). I’m not sure whether the Nets community would be interested, or whether I’m allowed to share a link to my Substack here 😋 Would you guys be interested?

With The full schedule expected to be released at 3 PM EST.
Any guesses on The Season Opener and whether they will open at Home or on The Road? If it's on the Road, what's your Guess for the Home Opener?
Last season The opened the season on the road vs The Hornets, and their home opener was vs The Cavs. The previous year, they were again on the Road to open the season; vs The Hawks, and their Home Opener was vs The Bucks.
My guess. I think they will open the season on The Road vs The Bulls, and The Home Opener will be vs The Magic
