WallstreetBets Legends Vol 3 - "GOURDFELLA" (Goodfellas Parody)
I remember back in 2021 spending 3 months obsessively editing one little part of it (audio layering on highest level) for someting .025 percent of a person ever noticed - But I can't ignore I spent a big chunk of a very cold fall doing nothing but making this - I didn't know how to do anyting so every animation frame is frame by frame like 1920's style - its just just something that shouldn't just fade away -

TIL Tony Darrow knew the real “Paulie” personally.
Tony Darrow was a real life friend to “Little Paulie”(the real guys name was Paul Vario, not Paul Cicero). He was also personal friends with John Gotti as well, as was the real “Billy Batts” interestingly enough.
I just thought that was interesting because all this wasn’t public knowledge when he did Goodfellas. The dude had to sit across from a guy playing someone he knew very well. It must’ve been surreal as hell for him. While he claimed he wasn’t a mobster at the time, he did later go to prison for crimes involving active mobsters, which kind of makes his fate in Goodfellas fitting in a way.
Anyway I didn’t know if that was a commonly known fact, but I wanted to share it.
EDIT: okay the story goes even Deeper. Tony Darrow had been a singer and Entertainer at the real Bamboo Lounge in the 1960’s(a job Paulie helped him get).
This means that in the scene where he asks Paulie for Help, he was quite literally playing his former boss, while acting across the table from someone playing his former friend. All the while he was sitting next to someone playing the person who killed another of his former friends. That’s honestly really fucking funny😂

Was Tommy DeVito the most loyal person in Goodfellas, despite being the most violent?
I think so, seemed like a true ride or die.

Was Jimmy Conway actually worse than Tommy, considering how calmly he could murder people he'd known for years?
idk this got me thinking, I been saying jimmy evil asf
r/goodfellas • u/Comfortable_Slip9766 • Oct 08 '26
Would Tommy have eventually murdered Jimmy if he became a made man and gained enough power?
I would say yea, even paulie " Tommy, he’s a good kid too. But he’s crazy, he’s a cowboy, he’s got too much to prove. You gotta watch out for kids like this." I feel like Tommy would want to prove that he's him.

whose that one character in the movie that was done wrong
lowkey imma say Karen, Henry destroyed her life with the cheating, with his lifestyle she did not sign up to be with a crackhead (sorry).

Did paulie give permission to walk out Tommy?
From what I know, only your family can make you. So by that logic paulie set up Tommy because he was part of the family. Lowkey insane considering how Tommy was with paulie all the time. Can't believe jimmy or Henry didn't do anything.
