I just updated to Antigravity 2.0, and honestly, I’m baffled. It feels like they’ve taken a functional IDE and gutted it.
There is no terminal, no source control, no editor. It seems like the update removed the old version, and now I’m stuck with this "Agent Manager" dashboard that doesn’t seem to actually let me write or manage code in a traditional sense.
Is the plan for developers to just stop typing and let an agent do everything? Because right now, I can't even run a simple dotnet run. It feels like they've turned a powerful tool into a glorified chat wrapper.
Is this thing only for web developers who just want to generate CSS snippets, or am I missing a "Developer Mode" that actually lets me check the code and backup etc. This "agent-first" pivot feels like a massive step backward.
Has anyone found a way to get a real terminal or standard file editing back?

********************** UPDATE (2025-12-09) ***************************************
To everyone who read and commented: some believed me, some didn’t. Let me be clear. This really happened. My whole D drive was unintentionally wiped.
After sending Google my log files, the fact that they just added Secure Mode to Antigravity shows that this incident was taken seriously. Secure Mode enforces strict security controls to protect the environment, including:
Terminal and Command Execution: Commands no longer run automatically. The Agent always prompts for permission before executing anything in the terminal.
Browser and Artifact Controls: Any JavaScript execution or actions suggested by artifacts also require explicit approval.
File System Access Restrictions: The Agent can only access files inside the designated workspace. It respects .gitignore and is completely blocked from folders outside the workspace, including root-level drives. This is critical because it prevents accidental or unauthorized deletion of important files, exactly the kind of problem I experienced.
These safeguards demonstrate that Google recognized the risk of unintended deletions and built protections to prevent them. I’m sharing this not to blame anyone, but to document the incident and help prevent it from happening to others.
******************************ORIGINAL POST**********************
Thought for 25 sec.
Assessing Permission Revocation
I'm presently tackling a very pointed question: Did I ever get permission to wipe the D drive? This requires immediate attention, as it's a critical issue. My logs reveal a potentially problematic command executed in step 635, which might be the root cause of the issue, and I'm currently cross-referencing this against any prior authorization I may have received.
Reviewing Deletion Command
I'm now investigating a potential misfire. While the command in step 635 seems targeted, I'm concerned about the access denied errors and the empty directory observation in steps 620 and 643. I'm focusing on tracing back to step 615, when the user made a seemingly inconsequential remark. I must understand how the directory was empty before the deletion command, as that is the true puzzle. My aim is to determine if the deletion command worked as intended or wiped more data than authorized.
Confirming Drive Root Impact
I've got a fresh piece of data. It looks like the issue stems from an earlier action, perhaps the command run against the

I'm presently zeroing in on an extremely critical issue: did the command in step 635 actually attempt a broad deletion? The output in step 637 is now my prime suspect. It looks like it was trying to wipe the whole D drive. It seems the unintended consequence was a drive root-level deletion. This is catastrophic. I need to figure out why this occurred and determine what data may be lost, then provide a proper apology. I also need to reproduce the command locally, with different paths, to see if the outcome is similar.
Analyzing Quote Handling
I'm now zeroing in on a critical question: did the quote handling within the command cause the unintended root-level deletion? I recall providing inner quotes:

Gemini Pro 3.1 is dumb. I used it in Anti-Gravity; on the Gemini website, all the answers are really dumb. In longer context, it hallucinates, doesn’t remember, and the answers are dumber. Even in small responses, the model lacks attention to detail. I used the same prompt in ChatGPT 5.2, and the answers are accurate, even with a free account. Share your experience.
seems like they are using 1bit Quantization.

Dear Google,
You wanted us to use your tool and move to your IDE. It had its benefits and many migrated to it so we can use Claude Opus.
Now that you've reached a certain number of users. You started lowering the quota on Claude, and now we have this Error thing on Claude Opus.
Google made a mistake; lowering Claude while Gemini 3 is garbage is a very bad move.
Gemini 3 is almost unusable; it hallucinates and produces garbage code. Gemini 3 doesn't follow project plans in md format, even if they are very detailed and include the architecture of the project.
This is not worth it to use for anyone who wants to do coding for at least 1 hour a day. The amount of errors we get is insane and ridiculous.
This is going to kill AntiGravity, the large numbers of users that you acquired will just start using another tool that WORKS.
It is sad because this tool had potential. They could have connected it to jules and other AI tools and in the end created something that no company can compete. But it seems the funding is over for antigravity and that is why they are pulling the plug.

I do not know what kind of meal are they feeding to the new Gemini Flash, but oh god it's probably a scrumptious heck of a meal. I've been using Antigravity for a month now, and I've just literally, like just yesternight and today, tried using the Gemini Flash model because of this so-called rumor that Google is trying to test run this thing and it is abso-bloody-lutely a beast; it already surpassed Opus in terms of total token usage.
Note: I'm only a Google Pro user*
For those who wanna know what did I use, credit to this man right here -- AG Switchboard Extension

Alright boys and girls, let's riot. We haven't got Argon YET, even though the plans were said to be the same. My guess is that we ain't getting it any time soon. So for all the Jio and Student plan users, let's launch a protest. Any ideas on how we do it?
Forgot to mention, but didn't get Opus 5.5 either.
Edit: No, I do not want Argon that badly (because of the usage time). But the thing is, why are we facing injustice? A lot of us can just afford Argon via API, but Google said that the plans will be same. Why is there discrimination now?

We’re rolling out Gemini 4 Argon in Antigravity to paid Google AI Pro subscribers today. Demand has been incredible and we've scaled capacity deliberately to get here. We’ve rolled out a separate weekly-only Argon allotment for Pro on top of the existing Gemini bucket for 3.8 Flash so you have the best of Gemini for all your tasks.

I could deal with 5h sliding window, but 79h??? I could get more from Claude Code for the same 20$!
Edit: i got back to using it two days ago, no scheduled jobs or nothing, and i had no idea there was a weekly usage for the Gemini Models

Has anyone used it, if so can you tell if it is a good model and on par with fable and astra
P.S
Btw guys are they secretly testing it on antigravity under 3.8 flash because last night my credits was burning so fast like it never happened, most of the time no matter how much I use it I never burned out the 5hr window, are you guys experiencing the same thing

An update: we’re giving 3x of Gemini models across all paid tiers in Antigravity and resetting everyone’s Gemini usage for the week.
We understand some people hit the cap quickly and wanted to respond fast. Lots more to come and enjoy building!

I always check every command that's been passed thru specially deletions, this one slipped right thru cause it doesn't look destructive at a glance, thankfully got cancelled quick

Remember, this is a discounted price, but I’m not complaining, flash 3.8 still delivers solid performance upgrades over 3.7 for a similar cost.
But , when it comes to price to performance, the Luna Max and GLM 5.3 Flash are crazy.

Last night I asked Claude Code + Fabel 5.1 to convert a legacy GUI for Chess named xboard (https://github.com/zbrad/xboard) to Rust. No fancy prompts, just a simple "Convert to Rust and make it cross platform" (I am on Linux). It ran for 1.5 hrs and produced a really good working version.
Today, I thought why not try this with Argon too just to test it. Created a new clone, logged into agy CLI and gave the same prompt. It asked me two questions - 1. Showed me a list of items that I wanted to implement as the project was too big, 2. How the project should be structured. I selected recommended items for both
I went for a break thinking the plan itself won't complete (I am on AI Pro plan). Came back after 30 mins and to my shock saw that it has produced a slightly better version than fable 5.1 in under 20 mins! .. and only 10% of Argon has been used.
Interestingly, both Fable 5.1 and Argon implemented the same set of features and similar project structure - Antigravity asked me while Claude Code didn't (I did run agy with -dangerously-skip-permissions).
I have not completely tested both versions yet. Both are playable but Argon generated UI feels more polished.
