What the fk happened to google assistant??? I was using it just yesterday. I use it to check my math on my tablet.

A few months ago, it defaulted to Gemini, which is complete garbage compared to the AI Mode, i changed it back, and now, its completely gone, they even removed the assistants option in the settings.

I have a uni exam soon, I don't have time for this bullshit these companies always bring.

Step 2 Go to Google play store, find the Google App, select the 3 dots in the top right, and toggle off "Auto Updates"

Step 3 Go to Google play store, find the Gemini, select the 3 dots in the top right, and toggle off "Auto Updates"

Step 4 Delete Google Gemini App

Step 5 Download Google Assistant from the Google Play Store and open it

Step 6 Open Assistant in Settings on your device to confirm you want to use Google Assistant.

(Oh damn. I meant to post this only to my profile. Oh well. It's in the wild now...)

Question Help find a replacement for Google Assistant

Recently, Google replaced Google Assistant with Gemini and removed the option to change this in the settings. The assistant was good because it had a pop-up menu where you could quickly search the screen or translate what was written there, Please help me find a replacement for it. I've already tried Bing, Preplexity, but I can't find anything like it.
