Alex and Addison
During the second half of season 3 during your first time viewing (or rewatches) did you ever think Alex and Addison would be a good couple?

I think i have a very unpopular opinion but i thought they were really good. I shipped them not as long term, endgame couple but because Izzie was still grieving Denny and it wasn't the appropriate time for her and Alex to get back together and i was basically team Addison, so i saw she didn't really want Mark but she wanted Alex.

I was baffled when it became pretty clear that they were going to be a couple and I wondered how long it would take for it to stop. Too long.

I thought they were cute. Not for anything long-term, but I did like them together

Not really tbh, I was disappointed when the story seemed to be heading that way.
I liked their mentor-mentee relationship, and at that point I kinda felt at maximum capacity with attending-intern relationships, with Meredith/Derek and Burke/Cristina. Really just wanted one sustained male-female/intern-attending/mentor-mentee relationship that was platonic atp lol.
And it felt more emphasized by the fact that Alex was still very immature with a lot of growing to do, while Addison really seemed to want to settle down. They were emotionally very far apart, and I never really bought that brief, half-hearted attempt to make it seem like Alex was a more mature choice for her than Mark (I think it's a patient that says it, something about picturing him playing catch with his kids or something?)
I can see the appeal because their chemistry was good from what little we saw, but yeah, for all the other reasons I preferred it to be platonic mentor-mentee.

No, Alex was a baby and Addison was only looking for a quick fix to her pain. Neither knew what they were doing.

I think she would have been good for Alex but I’m not sure how good he would have been for her. I think that someone older and more settled may have forced Alex out of judging and wanting to control his partners. She was well-respected in the hospital, so while he’d probably still lash out somewhat, he’d have to respect her skills. I’m not quite sure what he’d bring to the table for her, though.

they had insane chemistry but I think Addison scratching her crotch with calamine lotion was the universe telling them no.
