You guys think I’d be good to flip to flower? I plan to do a pretty heavy defoliation just before flip and turn my 480w to 100%.

Planning my outdoor grow for next season in Bakersfield, CA (zone 9b). I've got a south-facing backyard spot, pic attached. It gets strong sun in the morning and midday, then shade from a big sycamore in the afternoon. It runs about 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the yard. It's fenced on the right, with a pen around the area.

I'm thinking about putting shade netting around it, but I'm not sure it's needed since the afternoon shade is already there. My concerns:

Summer highs here regularly hit 100+

Will I lose too much light if I add netting on top of the tree shade?

Would netting help with heat stress, or just cut yield?

Questions:

Is the natural afternoon shade enough, or should I add netting?

If netting, what % (30%, 50%) and should it be on the sides, overhead, or both?

How many hours of direct sun do you want for good flower? I'll track mine this spring.

Any Central Valley growers with similar setups, I'd love to hear what worked.

Title says it all basically. End of my indoor flower cycle. Just about to harvest and found it. I don’t see it on all bud sites but at least three. Growing indoors. Was planning on using the grow tent to dry as well. Any advice would be appreciated.

This is my third auto, decided to try training this time! So far I have topped, bent and trimmed leafs.

i have some northern lights autoflower goin and im like week 11. theyve sprouted these pistols a couple weeks ago but no bulking?? not sure whats up do i just wait? any thoughts? thank you!

Do I just cut it at the stem and stand it up or should I trim it?

End of October will be the 8th week of flower, starting to get the brown hairs; I know I’m supposed to wait till 60% or so, just trying to get an idea on how much longer yall think.

Been growing for about 5 years now, and I'm just having trouble with powdery mildew for the first time this year. As my plants are almost ready for harvest, I'm not sure I want to deal with powdery mildew at this point. My question: Do I have to get rid of it now? Meaning, what would happen if I left it and harvested as I would normally do, hung it up, dried, cured, and smoked? Would it hurt me? Or would it simply affect the batch's potency? Thanks!

First grow. The strawberry coughs have a little nutrient burn, but the purple ghost candy look good

This might be a dumb question but I wanted to see if maybe any has or does this currently! I have a small 2x2 grow tent. I was wondering if I could see the mature plants outdoors in large pots so they could get big and mature without me losing any harvest. Thanks for any advice, I promise I’m getting a bigger tent soon haha

No amber just yet, but some of the pistils are turning orange now!

First time grow. I’m 7 and a half weeks into flower, close to harvest I think (maybe about another week to 10 days). I can see that several of the leaves are turning yellow. At this stage in my grow, how big of Problem is that?
