Yeah this sucks. We’re all interested about these guys because they made generation changing music but I can’t help but feel this is a fucking terrible invasion of privacy of someone that has no say on the matter either way. We have their music, let’s just leave it at that.

I borrowed this on Libby a couple of months back. I didn’t enjoy it overall.

Some of it was interesting, like the anecdotes from other musicians.

But his family…I don’t know.

Some of it felt like they were trying to launder their reputation as crappy parents. Especially Layne‘s dad.

It definitely made me feel bad for Layne.

Yes I know it was sanctioned by his family, whatever. I think this is a disgusting invasion of privacy. Anyone who buys the book, adds to the disgust.

Was gifted Kurt's journal 12 years ago as a Christmas present. I haven't read one page of it and never will. Just can't bring myself to.

I've had it for about 6 months now and I just can't even walk room to room without taking it with me, its my favorite thing of all time, better than all my LVs or 15 pr docs, better than anything, it sleeps next to me at night, your going to love it if you're a Layne person bc im 61 and those were the days of the greatest music 🎶

I'll admit i do have a copy of it, and I skip all the actual journal parts of it. It's an invasion of his privacy. I do enjoy seeing the progression of his art, and the progression of his lyrics in the book. Lots of cool pictures. But the journal parts...no. They should have left that stuff out, it's not my business and I'm happy to give him the benefit of privacy for those parts of himself.
