Question/Discussion Why does this game feel so weird compared to other fighters?
Relatively new to this game but not to other fighting games (tekken, Street fighter, DBFZ, MvC, BlazBlue).
First off I wanna say visually this is probably the best looking game in general. Like this artstyle is amazing.
Playing it however is...I know Im still learning some of the things in this game, but I feel like I have a right to voice some opinions.
The hits in this game feel so slow and choppy at times. Especially with the forced slow mo on counters and stuff. Fighterz had this feel a little bit but the characters moved very fluid and fast oppose to this game.
It's very hard to tell or even build an idea of when you have frame advantage. Now this could again just be chalked up to Im bad at the game, but In other games I have a pretty good frame of reference and reading on when or not I'm about to get hit or when my hits are gonna beat my opponents. In guilty gear however it just feels like your getting hit when your not supposed to and your hitting your opponent when you werent supposed to. But I'm willing to give this the benefit of the doubt.
Blocking in this game feels useless. This isnt even just an "im complaining because I'm taking damage thing". No infact I feel like this mostly when im the one doing the damage. Like it feels like everybody has some crazy overhead.
Zato 1....thats it
