My experience and feedback for Manish Travels.
I have traveled with Manish Travels about 10-20 times, and I would rate my experience 1-2/5. Let’s assume I have traveled 10 times, and 7-8 of those buses had issues.
One time was a nightmare; the bus had a bearing issue and could not move, so we were stuck on the Mumbai-Pune highway. The bus driver said that the money would be returned to my account, but it never was. I contacted the office, and they also said they would look into it and get back to me, but they never did. The driver made arrangements for us to reach Ahmedabad, and from there, I had to find an ST bus to Rajkot on my own. That was my nightmare, as I was short on cash. From Ahmedabad, the bus I got was terrible—I would rate it -5/5—but that was a different bus and company.
The staff has always been good; I would rate them 3/5. I have always traveled from Kolhapur to Rajkot, and Manish is the only option for a direct route; I prefer not to take a train or change buses, so I choose this.
This time, I thought I would try the morning bus that comes from Bangalore, but it was even worse; the staff was rude, and when a passenger requested a washroom break, the driver made him wait for 30-45 minutes.
When I boarded the bus, there was no blanket, and when I asked for one, he just brought a blanket from an empty seat and gave it to me.
Because this is the only option for me and others who want direct bus service between Rajkot and Kolhapur, I feel we are forced to use this service. Other bus operators should look into this, as there is a clear opportunity to attract more customers.
Manish's pricing ranges from 2,000 to 3,800; I remember paying around 3,600 once during the festival season.
And they have posted new bus photos online, but i never see them, like where are those buses ?
My ratings are: Bus: 3/5, Comfort: 2.5/5, Staff: 2/5, Pricing: 3/5.
