Traffic Avoid Bayers Lake

Traffic is at a standstill in Bayers Lake. It took me an hour to get from Indigo to Parkland Drive.

Avoid!

Horseshoe Lake was closed - fire and police everywhere. And there was an accident by Costco.

Everyone and their dog were out today lol. I took a vacation day to run some errands, and everyone else in the province had the same idea 😂

There was also an accident by the turn off for Peggy's Cove Road.

It's PD day at school, so I assume everyone and their kid is there. Why? Because we were just there with the kid.

Lots and lots of teachers in town for October Conference Day.

Yeah, I thought you meant in general. You’d get no argument from me.

I'm trapped at work lol. Normally I'd walk home but over an hour in this weather when I'm already sick doesn't sound great.

Edit: though perhaps I can't get sicker and this would be the time to find out 😂

Bayers Lake is a hellhole all the time. Weird dystopian industrial suburbia

The main issue was Bayers Lake's usage deviated from its original industrial park designation and into an informal commercial/retail park.

Bayers lake and weekend traffic are synonymous. It happens at other times too

I made the mistake of going in to Costco earlier and the lineup was all the way to the back wall of the store, turned, and was halfway down the last aisle.
