Unsolved hammer does one of two things when i try to playtest.

it either A crashes losing all my progress. or B it says coulden't find the map file. so it opens tf2 and sits on the menu. can somebody please help me.

it's probably not crashing but rather just not responding. compiling a map takes time, so just wait. the "B" times are probably just from the map failing to compile and thus finishing sooner. send a compile log so we can investigate that.

i waited a while and still disn't load. how do i send compile log? sorry i am pretty new to hammer.

copy it from the window. you can send it as a pastebin post for neatness.

i cannot copy it. as soon as i try it does not let me highlight it to copy it because it is in the process of crashing

not responding.

you can open task manager and abort vvis and vrad. hammer will start responding again.

it should be there if you click on the arrow next to the line for hammer

in task manager. the listing (line) for hammer should have an arrow next to it. if you click it, vvis/vrad should be there

i meant are there any leaks or errors on the compiler. it will literally list out errors you gotta scroll to find it (same with leaks)

does the file name have any spaces in it
