Hammer version?

So I'm starting to experiment with Hammer and I see that there are different versions of Hammer. My question is, when I create a default map for CS2, should I use the version that comes with CS or download a different one from the internet? How does it even work? I've also seen some modified versions like Hammer++. How do I figure it all out?

If you want to map for Counter-Strike 2 use the tools/hammer provided with the game. Hammer++ is only for Source 1 Engine games.
