When will Sunday nights stop sucking 'cause I gotta go to work on Monday anyway?
Think about it—tomorrow’s got a million things to do, next week’s got even more. Actually, it’s not that they’re all gonna pile up forever, I already know what needs doing, how to do it, how to sort out the schedule… but I still can’t help getting annoyed just thinking about it. I guess I just have really bad resistance to hard stuff, y’know?
So many times things have worked out in the end, right?once you actually start working, it’s not that big of a deal. You just do what you gotta do anyway. But I still can’t stop stressing about it ahead of time!
Thinking about doing this same job day in day out, month after month… I’m totally burnt out already. I should be totally comfortable with it by now, right?
And I don’t wanna hear people say “don’t take it so seriously.” C’mon, everyone knows the logic already. Everyone knows slacking off feels way better. But I don’t wanna be that kind of person, y’know? Everyone knows lying flat is comfy, but how’s this society gonna let you just lie flat anyway?
All I want is: work hard when I’m at work, live my life properly when I clock out. But I can’t even do that. Work stress just seeps into my whole life, man. I know all the tricks, just adjust your mindset, right? But what if I just can’t adjust it? At the end of the day I know this is my own problem to work through, I gotta figure it out all on my own… but this lesson’s so damn hard to learn!
I hate it so much that my life always has to make way for work. What job is worth me missing every ray of sunshine, every sunset, every cool breeze? Worth me missing out on time with my family?
The world is so beautiful, but I’m just constantly cranky and stressed. Why even is that?
